Several people here has recommended Made in Abyss and Apothecary diaries, and I'll follow suit. They are great series. Apothecary diaries has amazing plot and writing. Made in Abyss on the other hand has the fantasy / sci-fi / horror as well and is rather unique. I'd say between the two. Apothecary Diaries fits a (story) mold extremely well like a well written classic novel. On the other hand Made in Abyss often breaks the mold in interesting ways. But i'd like to add two more lesser mentioned ones: 3-gatsu no lion (March comes in like a lion) - would be a great follow up after Frieren and Vinland Saga. (In the slice-of-life / coming of age genre) Sonny Boy - This is rather surreal compared to the others. But it'll be cool to see your take on it. Dark Horse: Dark Gathering. You seem to like horror, Bleach battles, myths etc. I think this might actually be a good watch as it is a combination of all of that.

Steins Gate Apothecary Diaries Code Geass

Redieh Scarano

Steins Gate Wont get a ton of views honestly. But its a show you would love to dig deep into and its one of the best anime and science fiction stories ever

Blake Wells

In order of preference Jujutsu Kaisen - There are some fun physics stuff in some of the powers. Would be interesting to see your take on the character's development as the show progresses and your theories. Re:Zero - A dark psychological horror isekai that gives a lot of information to mull over. Would recommend watching the first season's Director's Cut because I believe it's better paced. Heavenly Delusion - Tackles some interesting and heavy topics Madoka Magica - It's better not knowing anything about the anime but very good A complete wtf option: Devilman Cry Baby - I have no idea how you would be able to post on youtube lol has themes that you would find interesting (not very long so could just be something you watch in your own time anyway) Non anime: Dark Matter - Only one season. Right up your alley and would love more science learning like 3 Body Problem

Highly recommend Ergo Proxy

Death note, Psycho Pass, Death Parade, and Hell Girl are good shows relating to life and also plays into how good and bad decisions can influence society. 91 days is also a good one if you would like to see a historical anime about the alcohol prohibition era.

MoniqueDreams

Death Note - crime thriller that is a bit more fun but also shorter and not as deep as others.

daragh faro

Stein's Gate - Another mind fuck but a very good interpretation of time travel.

daragh faro

Monster - psychological mystery thriller set in Germany, one of the best crime anime series imo.

daragh faro

Steins;Gate serial experiments lain Watch either and you'll be blown away.

Monster (perfect for the channel since it's very philosophical and set in Germany). And made in abyss (insanely underrated anime, but anyone that has seen it has nothing but good things to say about it)

Definitely Code Geass, you’ll love it after watching AoT

Highest recommandation bc i know ur personality a bit now: -Rainbow Nisha rokubou no shinchin(Brutal and realistic like aot plays in post WWII) Options: -Steins Gate (complex and dramatic) -Death Note (a short tensionloaded crimeseries) -Erased(even shorter tensionloaded crimeseries) -Tokyo Ghoul (gory, actionrich series where its about loosing personality and being cannibalistic) -Code Geass definetly something for you too Honorable mention: Getting into the Ghibliverse(Spirited away, grave of the fireflies, the island in the sky etc) or other high rated animemovies (kimi no na wa, suzume etc) And since im a op-tard: you're never to late to drop in some smooth one piece episodes😂♥️. Love you bro keep it up!

Avatar the Last Airbender is a great animated series and overall very anime like, even if it’s not from Japan.

(First a continuation of Neon Genesis Evangelion) Steins;Gate Death Note Link Click Made in Abyss Avatar: The Last Airbender (Not technically Anime)

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood Dr. Stone My Hero Academia Death Note I know it is not an anime and maybe you have already seen it, but if not, it's a must-watch. For me, it's the second best series of all time (AoT is number one): Avatar: The Last Airbender.

People are suggesting plenty of pure fun, or fun with amazing worldbuilding (Delicious in Dungeon), but I think you might prefer things with lots of cerebral stuff to chew on, whether or not fun is mixed in. “Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood” (FMAB) has excellent themes, writing, worldbuilding and lore to chew on and some German history bonuses, while also being a cool action romp. “Monster” I hear is incredibly written and produced with plenty of mystery, horror and psychology, but that’s secondhand; I do know for sure nobody disagrees that it’s one of the bests. “Paranoia Agent” is philosophically deep and FASCINATING and psychological. I think the opening is both spoiler-free and lets you know the sort of INSANITY and vague themes you’re signing up for, if you’re debating its inclusion, but I guess you can’t react to the opening until it’s picked…

I think it would be very interesting for you to react to Sonny Boy, a hidden gem from 2021. It's only 12 chapters long and raises a lot of issues that make you think for days. If I had to put genres to it it would be Philosophical, Supernatural, Contemplative. It seems to me a unique experience that can not be seen in other works. It's difficult to explain, but to make a small synopsis: A group of high school students are stranded in an inhospitable place and begin to develop very strange superpowers. From there their goal will be to understand where they are and find a way to return home. I want to clarify that it is far from being a shonen or anything like that. As I mentioned in the genres, it is a series with stunning and contemplative scenarios, animation, dialogues and music, which raises philosophical concepts and a story that you never know where it is going to go. Although you don't react to it on Patreon, I hope you can give it a chance at some point :)
