2024-06-20 15:21:41 +0000 UTCAbsolute heartbreak at that very last scene - in the end he dropped his father's blade to reach for Askeladd. Askeladd is such an incredible character and had the perfect end for his story. He succeeded in everything he wanted. He established a King he believed in. Saved Wales. He did horrible things and hated himself for it - he might have justified a lot of his horrible stuff to himself by just believing he was inherently horrible. But even with that he managed to help a few people become better than he was, or at least set the seeds for it to happen.
