2024-05-16 11:38:05 +0000 UTCIt's so strange to me how easily you turned on Eren and dismiss everything he's been through. Same goes for the people of Paradis - they literally just want to live. The entire world hates them (and has always hated them) and were going to invade BEFORE Eren ever attacked them. The world wanted to genocide every single person on Paradis - they didn't care about innocents or children. Marley declared war first, and the rest of the world cheered in approval. All Eren did was respond to their declaration. He pulled the old Uno reverse card. Paradis has been used by Marley for the past century - first they used Eldians as weapons to conquer and eliminate other nations, and then used the island as a convenient scapegoat to blame for their actions. The world labelled them devils, refused to consider anything else and then those in authority have the gall to act like they're the victims when Paradis defends itself and responds in kind? Basically I find it weird how much you dislike Eren and seem to now support what Marley is doing. Marley says that they're "trying to save the world" but let's not forget what they were doing to the world literally the year before. Willy Tybur admitted that the King of Paradis was the one who ended the Great Titan War, who refused to partake in wars anymore. But the Tyburs allowed and continued the fabrication that Marley and themselves were the "heroes" and continued to vilify Paradis island despite knowing that no one on the island knew humanity existed outside the walls. Marley is the one that broke the century long stalemate for their own greed and desire for resources, all so they could continue to conquer other nations.

It's exactly like how the Founding Titan can alter memories and change other anatomy of subjects of Ymir. While many in the Reiss family may have liked it as an ideology, others did not. For example, it is told to us that both Rod and Uri wanted to eradicate titans from the world by using the Founding Titan and begged their father to do it. However, when Uri inherited it from their father, that sentiment completely vanished. It's also hinted Frieda wanted to do the same very quickly in a flash of memories in which she says, "Don't worry, I won't lose to the ghosts of our ancestors." Additionally, when Hange and the Scouts are returning to Orvud District she says something like, 'So let's try to make sense of what we know...the Founding Titan's full potential/powers can only be used by someone of royal blood. However, once they inherit the Founding Titan they are enslaved by King Fritz's ideals and bound by the vow renouncing war, which only leads to the path of humanity's downfall." Her use of the words "enslaved" and "bound" mean they physically cannot make use of the Founding Titan's power to control other Eldians/titans in a way that contradicts the vow even if they have the desire to. Even though none of this is a spoiler, I typically don't like giving responses quite like this as I like to let reactors discover as much as possible, but since you actually (non-rhetorically) asked and since this is integral to understanding the story and getting the most out of it in the future, I think it was a good idea and hope it helps :)

2024-05-15 05:01:24 +0000 UTCPerhaps somewhat off topic: I think there's an argument to be made that human education and political information is becoming or has become incompatible with our limited mental biology. We simply lack the capacity to take in enough information to have a full picture of broad social interactions once they reach a certain level of complexity and everyone (even the most informed person) is forced to deal with the world in terms of limited mental models which leave out massive quantities of meaningful data. This can lead to paralysis because we don't know enough to be certain that our perspectives are "right". But if you realize that nobody has that full picture you can only be as informed as you can and act on that. After all not acting is sometimes as bad or worse than taking a somewhat uninformed action.

I do not care for soccer myself, but since I live in Gelsenkirchen, I see devoted Fans a lot. Also Haubitze in english is howitzer and is a Form of artillery. Keep up the good work !
