Hope you still enjoy, though. It seems to be really interesting. =) Expect AoT 4x15 and 4x16 for Friday. =) I hope I will be able to record the next comment answers soon, ut currently am really busy with planning moving. =)

The Show, I think, is the best at portraying the psychological states of the characters and their thought processes, while the Movies are the better of the two mediums at describing the story.

2024-05-11 04:54:00 +0000 UTCTo me, this is one of the hardest shows to follow and understand that exist, I don't know if it is possible to get the whole overarching story in one watch. It leaves a lot of space for interpretation on the meaning of dialogue and action that happen. Also, I would love to see once you are done with the show to watch the movies, they start very similar but deviate a lot quite early, personally i like the movies even more then the show

2024-05-10 16:50:19 +0000 UTCI remember it when I watched as a teenager, but it really didn't affect, I think I wasn't able to understand it much, just robots fighting. Last year I tried to watch it again and it was very heavy because I couldn't take from my head the age of main character 😖 I couldn't finish it, I just watched it with very long breaks.

Not the first anime I watched (That was Bubblegum Crisis/Crash) but definitely a huge one from my younger years. Very curious which interpretations of events will ring true for SWS, since it seems every reactor that watches it sees it through a different lens.

2024-05-09 02:11:04 +0000 UTCYay Neon Genesis Evangelion. The anime where I always say that brought me to anime. It's not quite like that, the Studio Ghibli films also played a part. Just like “Ghost in the Shell” and “Akira” etc. (4:15) About the endings. In the original version (I'll call it that) there was a separate version of “fly me to the moon” from Frank Sinatra for the ED of each episode. The different female voice actors also sang their version of the song when the ending was named after their character. But unfortunately due to licensing difficulties Netflix doesn't have the license for the song (the Globel license was apparently too expensive). Therefore this had to be replaced. Also in other parts of the anime where the song was playing in the background it had to be replaced.

If it’s ok, I highly recommend to watch “The End of Evangelion” after series, and after EoE - four Rebuild movies. It will be really interesting and cool :) Marduk is ancient Mesopotamian god, it connected to general biblical theme of anime :) Curious phrase about “it’s past” after 2015 shot, because when in filmed at 1990-x it was future date for them, however for us in 2024 it is past 🤔
