Fun fact: Both the creators of AOT and Vinland are actually good friends and love each other's shows. They did a interview together when AOT ended if I'm not mistaken.

2024-03-22 14:13:02 +0000 UTCA nice little detail. Thorfinn knew the word "run" in English (and it seems the only English word he knew). Probably because he heard the word so much from villagers trying to escape and warn others of their Viking raids. Pretty f*ked.

2024-03-19 14:19:22 +0000 UTCIf they had actually wanted to be historically accurate in voices as you kind of briefly mentioned it *would* be English but it would be incomprehensible to modern speakers. The English back then hadnt gone through the evolution of French occupation yet, so it was still a primarily Germanic language. As a german speaker you could actually understand old english better than modern english speakers can.
