2024-03-05 18:56:11 +0000 UTCThis second part had a significant delay before it was released, and a big part of it I've heard was the time it took to animate this sequence of Levi vs Beast. It's one of many sequences in anime where I feel like stepping through it frame by frame is worth your time. The physics of the scene are nonsense, but the momentum and storytelling of the animation are top tier.

(Though who could be prepared for Levi 😉) Annie, Bert and Reiner, by training with everyone, they had a chance to think about how to protect themselves from this style of attack. It's only now when Reiner and Bert have been away and unable to see how much they've advanced their weapons that they don't know how to counter.
