He was in the same graveyard introducing Aki to Himeno in flashback. He was their trainer too. Also, I think, Kishibe is the perfect case of "you have to be afraid of old people who work in places where you usually die young". It seems, you caught it right — after reading the letters Aki feels more guilty, because Himeno wanted to leave Public Security to Private sector, where is safer and privates deals with weaker devils/fiends, but she stayed at Public Security for him. And fun moment of Power and Denji bonding, Denji calls now Power — Powy, like her cat Meowy. In Japanese Meowy is Nyako and Powy is Powako. Thank you for reaction!

2024-02-19 23:17:23 +0000 UTCThe calm scenes in the anime (and manga) are really well made. It's like watching a good movie at that moment. Words are not always needed. A hint if you watch Chainsaw Man on Crunchyroll, switch the subtitles to German and watch the scene with Aki and the letter again in full length. It's nothing earth-shattering, but it might be a little surprise when you see the difference. In case you haven't already done so. Because you said you would like to read it.

2024-02-19 22:27:05 +0000 UTCA really cool thing that was pointed out to me is that in the ambush balcony scene, everything he dodges isn't just because he's super fast but actually really perceptive. When Power uses her initial spear attack her blood makes a squish noise and then she stomps on the ground, and he dodges based on the assumption she'd immediately go for a kill shot to the head. The bottles all make a loud crumpling noise above him and he dodges entirely out of the way not knowing what's coming. When Denji lands behind him there's the obvious heavy sound of him landing but also the sun is behind him, meaning Kishibe facing the wall can clearly see his movements in his shadow.
