AKA The hosts Vol 5
After the horrific scene that sent all the other guests on a run for their lives the ballroom became empty, except for 4 figures standing in their places in defiance of Veronica and Ignacio. The hosts.
One of them gave the order to the others who began chasing after Vero and Iggy who by this point were already running, not expecting to put down their chasers but hoping to gain enough time to prepare the second part of their plan.
In the couple of seconds they achieved to win, Ignacio pulls the Holy water Flask out of the pocket of his jacket while Vero ties a string of fabric she stripped out of her dress on her hand and then hands it to Ignacio to soak it in their limited supply of holy water. And as all this was happening Lyla, one of the hosts, had already catched up to them.
In the last second, with her already in the air and with her teeth aiming at his neck, Ignacio manages to turn and place the holy wet cloth between his chaser and him.
Gravity does the rest, as she now can't stop the momentum of her body the Cloth cuts through her like hot iron though ice.
Everyone can hear the sound of three objects falling into the ground. One is Ignacio, and the rest is Lyla.
While everyone is still in shock Veronica shakes out of it and prepares to make use of the now tested weapon.
…
Kind of a short chapter, I know. I mean, not really in the number of pictures but is what has happened so far. It actually took me a while to figure out how to show how the “Holy wet rag” works without basically drawing a diagram while also showing either Ignacio or Veronica using it to fight.
The original plan was for their original plan to be running and then stopping and moving apart while they both held the rag so that the vampires ran through it. Or more the other way around. And I think it's a very good plan on their part but the problem with it is that no matter the angle I drew it from it just kept looking kind of weird. So I figured out a way to make the “shot” more dynamic.
Which explains why, from all the “confirmed kills” on this story 2 go to Ignacio and none for Vero so far as they were originally supposed to share this one. But as you can see, she's totally ready to correct that.
There’s two versions because originally it was going to be a simple picture but I thought that one would look cool in colour.
The plan was for this batch to be the final one and come in a week or two but I figured this is a cool cliffhanger.
Now that they're out in the open it is a good time to present the vampires.
In order of oldest to youngest.
First there's the main host who apparently I named Arséne in the last post but then forgot about it. Lmao. No one knows how old Arsene truly is and he doesn't like to tell but everyone’s guess is “very”
I decided to make him a rat because, yes, I was watching Nosferatu, but also because I had previously considered making him a bat but that's too obvious but a rat is like a wingless bat so it worked for me.
Then there's Flavio the husky. The oldest of Arséne’s servants at around 2 hundred years or something. His “bloodlust” transformation kind of looks like a werewolf which is kind of funny to me. Probably the closest I'll get to actually working with werewolves. Or is it…
Elmira the Gecko. Rest in… whatever dead vampires rest in. Probably peace also. She was the second oldest Arséne's servant and she was like 157 or something. I was looking for cool looking animals for the vampires and I came up with black geckos. They look cool.
Lyla the Siamese cat. Also rest in peace maybe. The fourth oldest alive (until recently) member of the gang at 78. Actually when I first sketched her out she wasn't going to be a vampire, but then I decided, yes vampire!
And Finally (or is it?) Max the rabbit. The youngest member of the present gang with just 25 years and this for the only one who looks their age. They joined the “vampire collective” just two years ago.
Their “Bloodlust” form might be my favorite so far because it's the one that transforms their face the most. I think it's beacuse they is the one getting the biggest kick out of her new shape shifting abbilities. They also, by being a rabbit, gets to have Nosferatu (1920) teeth which I think it's cool. They go by all pronouns but prefer they/them.
