The creature in the tunnels. 

“What? She? Ah, She’s lovely she… uhh… well, we have no idea of what it is or where she comes from and we haven't figured out a way of taking her out of the tunnels without… a wrecking ball or something. But she won't get into trouble as long as we feed her like… once a month.

Hay. Which makes things easier, meat would be a problem. She also doesn't eat much, she sleeps a lot… Also, I don't really know if she's a she, it's just a vibe she gives me sometimes, but I really haven't… checked”

You know, just last week I was writing about how if I wanted photos to draw over I would have to go out later or earlier and it happens that that very same day I went out with some friends and in the way back I had a whole subway station basically for myself and as soon as I saw this tunnel I knew I had to draw some spook in there. Funny how things happen right?

In order to give it an air of mystery (?) I edited out the photo by taking the station name out and changing the colour of the signs so the picture looks more like a generic train station.

But also, if you're familiar with the México city Metro System you'll know that it has 12 different lines and each one has assigned a colour and a number* and so the implication here is that this picture was taken in the mysterious Black Line 13

Cool huh? 

I'd love to say that was the plan all along but it occurred to me after I had made the edit. The real station is actually “Camarones”.

This picture is me kind of retaking the tradition of Nicole doing whimsical yet spooky stuff around town like pranking rich jerks with some kid's spirits or taking bike rides with ghosts.

The creature in the Tunnel was at first inspired by Pablo Picasso's Le Taureau but given the fact that it was an exercise in abstraction the creature's first design was too clean for a monster so I had to change it a bit.

*: Except for 10 and 11 which are named A and B for some reason.
