No, it's not a deja Vu. I say to myself, This is a re-edit of “Savoy Truffle” , an old comic of mine. I'm still not sure if that will be the final tilted though 

See, I had decided to make this one public a couple of weeks ago to celebrate me finishing my long comic, but after reading it again I noticed a problem with it that I clearly didn't while I was making it. Rookie mistake. I'm still a rookie of course but a bit less so. 

Basically I assumed that anyone who would see the comic would already be familiarized with my characters. 

Not out of me thinking I'm a big artist who everyone knows but the opposite as in, I thought no one who isn't already following me would be interested in these comics anyway. And I still feel that way sometimes but that's no excuse.

The problem with the original is that if you don't know Diana often dresses like that you wouldn't know what the misunderstanding was. As far as you’d know she could very well be thinking she does work at the restaurant and was going there anyway. 

So I stopped what I was working on and decided to try and salvage this old comic adding a bit of a prologue section trying to establish that Diana dresses like that sometimes and that she was doing something different before completely before dropping it to pursue the love of her life… well, what she thought could have been the love of her life at that moment anyway. Oh Diana…

Ironically this kind of was the plan all along as now you know what the whole band was doing the day the events of Living forever transpired.

I wanted back then to do a third comic focusing with Lil and Zara that would also imply it happened that same day and in it the girls would have also been wondering where Diana went. 

In the end I didn't do it because I got distracted with other things but they have now been added to this one.

A thing this comic has made me realize is that I have been wildly inconsistent with regards to Zara, Diana and sometimes Lil’s apartment. Some time ago I realized this when one day I wanted to do a quick blue print of my characters' homes based on what I have drawn of them and the girl's apartment kind of makes no sense. Diana has a big picture window on her window but Zara has a small tall one on their rooms, both of them completely different to the big picture window on the living room, that is one of the very few consistent things I've drawn in the past by the way, as well as they having a green front and orange walls that have been poorly painted aqua green. 

So I'll probably be retconing their apartment soon like when I did it with the boys apartment. 

The only place that has remained consistent so far is RJ’s because besides the bathroom I've only shown one window (Or have I?*) and Tina's that I've only shown once and another time on its way.

It's also necessary because the girls’ place will be heavily featured in an upcoming comic.

Going back to this comic, don't worry about Lil and Zara, they didn't wait for Diana the whole day. After falling to contact Diana (She left her phone at home) Lil went for the syrup and the milk herself, they finished their pancakes (They were alright) and they had a regular day. Instead worry for Diana who has only had a sandwich during her break at work. Luckily Zara and Diana ordered food for her as well.

Making this was fun because I had to recreate the style I was going for back then for the most part. And it was more challenging than I thought because since then I've come up with ways of making this process easier. The sad thing is that to make this I didn't need to draw Lola even once, but worth not Jimmy, she'll be back sooner than you think. (Jimmy would be me in this case but that's not my name)

Wu, the place from where Zara and Lil got their delivery food from, is based on  a real place close to where I live that I'm low-key obsessed with because the name somehow manages to be grammatically wrong in 2 languages at the same time if not 3. China Food Wu’s
