Esa vez que los Niños Viejos aparecieron en una película mexicana.

Ya viene septiembre y aquí está mi dibujo para el día de la independencia el 15 (¡Viva México!).

Entonces tengo está versión de “Los Niños Viejos” que son mariachis en México durante el siglo XX que suelo dibujar para estás fechas, y resulta que al menos una vez hicieron una aparición en una película cómica musical mexicana clásica. Quién lo diría?

Esa no era la intención al principio siendo justos. Después de acabar el dibujo en el que son contratados por un joven para llevarle serenata a su amada se me ocurrió jugar un poco e hice la versión Galavisión y D Pelicula (Dos canales de television en México donde pasan películas mexicanas viejas todo el tiempo) y me quise patear después de hacerlo por qué como que está vez, si es pensado dentro del contexto de la película me gusta un poco más la versión en blanco y negro. Pero aun así uno de los canales pasa la versión coloreada de la película Jaja.

Los dos jóvenes chanates que aparecen en este dibujo son un “Deep Cut” en mi lore. Son Kooni y Atzin y podría decirse que son mis primeros “OCs” De hecho había olvidado mencionarlo pero ya habían hecho una pequeña aparición en el fondo en “Roast”

Para la versión normal del dibujo fue un día normal para el grupo. Un joven se les acercó y los contrató para una serenata. En cuanto a la versión de película, me gusta imaginar que a la banda los contrataron un día cuando pasaban enfrente de los Estudios Churubusco ya que necesitaban una banda ya que a la que habían contratado originalmente no se pudo presentar y tenían que grabar la escena ya. 

Me preguntó si algo equivalente les pasará a la versión normal de la banda.

That time the Old Boys appeared in a Mexican movie.

September is coming and here is my drawing for Independence Day on the 15th (Viva Mexico!).

So I have this version of the band, “Los Niños Viejos” who are mariachis in Mexico during the 20th century and I usually draw them around this time, and it turns out one time they made an appearance in a classic Mexican musical comedy film. Who would say?

That was not the intention at the beginning to be fair. After finishing the piece in which they are hired by some guy to give a serenata to his loved on, it occurred to me to play a little and I made the Galavisión and D Pelicula version of the piece (Both TV channels in Mexico where they show old Mexican movies all the Time) and I wanted to kick myself after doing it because this time, if you think about it within the context of the film, I kind of like the black and white version a little more. Still, Let’s say one of the channels airs the Colored version of the film. Lol

The two grackles that appear in this drawing are something of a “Deep Cut” in my lore. They are Kooni and Atzin and you could say that they are my first “OCs” In fact I had forgotten to mention it but they had already made a small appearance in the background in “Roast”

For the normal version of the drawing it was a normal day for the group. A young man approached them and hired them for a serenata. As for the movie version, I like to imagine that the band was hired one day when they were passing in front of Churubusco Studios as they needed a band since the one they had originally hired couldn't show up and they had to record that scene that day.

I wonder if something equivalent will happen to the normal version of the band. Lol

Anyway ¡Viva Mexico!
