I don't even like this one lol.

I mentioned in my last month post that that piece was something of a second attempt on a concept for an old piece I had done before, and that would be this one.

It actually might be one of, if not the very first piece featuring Davo and Tina ever. 

I had some fun while making it but I do feel it's a little weak, but I still feel is worth posting. For fun let's do a sort of autopsy of it, as a bit.

I'd say my problem with it is that it kind of feels too much like a “my first DeviantArt ship fan art” piece to me, if that makes sense.

I mean kind of generic, it's only missing the flowers and the angel wings.

Not that there's something wrong with that of course, just not my thing.

See, I clearly started strong with the sharing headphones and the music concept. And Davo's trademark sitting upside down move gives it a little flavor, but after that, I remember clearly not being sure what to do next.

The bench I chose randomly to keep it interesting and then the park logically followed. After that I just kept throwing stuff to see what stuck to add texture, like the elaborated lighting. I almost made it work when I added the basketball court but that wasn't enough I feel.

There's also 2 versions, one with Davo smiling that works better visually and one where he doesn't and works better character wise. 

See, the idea behind that back then was Davo being a huge tsundere. I still think he's a tsundere but now I don't think he's such a tryhard as back then. 

Still a bit tho. Lol

I don't really hate this piece. It's far from being my worst work. (You guys will never see those) I just find it really frustrating because it's actually so close to being good in my eyes. So much that I actually still felt it was worth posting. 

Though that's just my opinion. What do you think?
