Hey! Would you look at that, It's Lil!
I played around a bit with Lil’s design on this one. In the pool comic I drew the fur on the sides of her head gown down as a way of suggesting she was wet but I kind of liked how it looked and I sort of repeated that here. I don't feel like fully changing her design but I think it could be like a thing she does from time to time. Maybe for concerts like Zara using makeup when singing (And when I remember)
She also seems to be trying out a new bass. Like, not really but it looks like it. Originally it was going to be her regular brown one but I changed it to play around with the colors.
And between the new cheek fur design, the “new” bass and her seemingly having a little bit more enthusiastic on stage persona here than her regular “looking cool but mostly just being there (bassist after all)” made me think it could be fun for her here to be a little bit more mature version of her regular self. Like her in her 30s instead of her 20s.
Don't necessarily take this as canon, I haven't necessarily decided that. Lol
I did this to come out of a sort of mini artist block this week. I made a bunch of sketches on my tablet and most of them sucked but this one I liked. Or at least the direction it was going for.
Even though it was originally going to be a quick thing I spent a lot of time working on this one because it took me a long time to get it to feel right. I had the idea and the pose from the beginning but I had to redo the line art like three times. One just to change stuff and in the other one I started from zero to get the whole anatomy right.
That's what I mean with a mini artist block. I had one of those moments where you sort of forget how to do stuff.
I also had problems deciding what to do with the coloring for this one. I tried a lot of stuff before arriving at this.
