I think RJ has the widest family. And I'm not saying it just cause they're wide people but there's a bunch of them.

So here we see him joining the Council of Cousins™ (not official name) they're catching up with each other and joke around when he's interrupted by his niece who has heard he's good at fixing things and maybe can help her with the toy she just broke.

I had a lot of fun drawing RJ's family, because I got to play around with RJ's "Blockiness" if you get what I mean.

I originally began designing his parents. That's when I decided that he gets the bear from his dad and his mother is a wolf. You can see them in the background here setting the grill. I think that just like with Lil, RJ is just his father again design wise but gets his temper from his mother. Which I guess, unfortunately, will make defeating the "mom friend" allegations harder for him.

They were going to be at the forefront of the piece but then I came up with the cousins and niece ideas. And ended up mashing all up in what you're seeing in front of you.

Fun fact. There was a prototype backstory for RJ that I posted somewhere once. I have retconned it since then but a lot of it still rings true. I need to find the time to find it and edit it. It featured another character of mine that I've also retconned since then and now hunts ghosts. It's not canon now so it doesn't matter. But if you've read it I add that RJ's niece here is daughter of one of his cousins off screen and not his brother's.

My favorite character to design here is RJ's cousin that I have just now, as I write this, decided to name Anastasia. Just cause. She is a Coyote from her mother's side of the family but still inherited her dad's bear-like physique to a degree. And I may find an excuse to draw her again in the future because it was fun.

RJ did manage to fix the car btw, but now it runs a little bit bumpy. Not a lot. Barely noticeable.

This one is the last one of the five I've done, but I'm definitely doing another one later cause I put these together and the lack of symmetry is making my OCD go off (I don't really have OCD. Just making a little joky joke). So now I'm trying to decide which character gets in or who from the band gets 2.
