Remember that weird phase where they started doing “VS” movies for horror characters.

Also, Remember all those creepy clown videos from some years ago? I guess this is a similar situation but this clown is also demonic. Maybe he did a Faustian deal or escaped hell like the doll. I'm not completely sure of a story for this one. I just wanted to make something a more silly pulp like feel. Like those slasher killer sequels where there's not even a plot but the killer killing random people. And as you can see this one was in 3D!

I went with a clown because it and the creepy doll share the same conceptual DNA of a childish thing made scary.

It's a totally new character, not based on any other one in particular but if I did take a bit of it, it would mostly be based on the 1990 version cause that was the one that scared me as a kid.

I don't think that one is the better one but I kind of like it better in the sense that the new one is too "beautifully made" if that makes sense. The 90s one feels aesthetically cheap and that works for me because most clowns look like that anyway and that's something I wanted to evoke here somehow. You can actually see where the wig begins and all that.

So, in the end I did make a solo piece for the doll but unfortunately I still don't think I'll be able to do a Ian one in time for the 31st cause I have to do some commission work this week. But who knows…

Also don’t worry about the clown. He will be back in “Demon Clown VII. The Clown takes Tijuana!''. After that he will be in space or be rebooted.
