The long Reading Room

There's a big hidden Library standing in the middle of a lonely Cul-de-sac somewhere in your town. It's not easy to find and it's not always there. And you can only go in with an invitation.

Most big libraries have a security system to protect the books, mainly from fires. Some of them make you sign a form, before going in, declaring that you understand that if the alarm goes off while you're in there, you could die from the drainage of oxygen in the place. And on what refers to security, this Library is not the exception. but what they have instead is them.

I don't think neither Nicole nor Ian have noticed them, as for the doll, it's not clear, but she surely knows there's someone with them.

I usually wouldn't worry about Nicole and Ian in this situation. A literal librarian and a book nerd like Nicole will surely treat those books like if they were a baby. But maybe bringing a known arsonist on another life to a place like this wasn't wise.

So this should be fun

Blame Veronica, as only two people can go in at once and as she couldn't go in in case problems appear she's coercing the doll to go and protect them. The doll was able to go in as the Library doesn't count her as people.

I've been saying this a lot lately but I've been wanting to make this or something similar for a while. Something featuring a comically huge library, but only recently I came up with a way for me to not have to actually draw every single book, which was the thing stopping me. It would either take too long or end up limiting the number of books on display.

Originally it was going to be a sort of Ian solo piece but it felt too simple so I paired him up with the other compulsive reader of the group and it works better as with them just chilling and hanging around there with a beat over them, the piece has a little bit of dramatic irony.

Only those three would be able to chill in a place like that. Nicole has seen it all, the doll has literally been in hell and Ian… Well, I think he's a little bit messed up in the head, in a sort of inoffensive way, due to all the horror and gore movies and stories he watches. I really need to explore that one of these days.

This one is a sort of spiritual follow up to this piece featuring Donnie which is a character that is still there but I haven't drawn in a while. I should.
