Básicamente aquí está mi dibujo para el día de la Independencia de este año. De un tiempo para acá, cada año en septiembre dibujo a la banda como mariachis para el 15. Me gusta pensar que es un universo alternativo al que he titulado "Los niños viejos" que de hecho es el nombre original de la banda. "Worn Down Children" es solo una forma en que adapte el nombre al inglés porque la traducción literal "Old Kids" sonaba del asco. Pero la frase de la que saqué el título se me ocurrió en español así que "Los niños viejos" es en realidad el original.

Aquí podemos ver a la banda de mariachis que sigue cantando mientras apenas amanece. La fiesta para la que los contrataron se acabó hace un par de horas. Pero no se les ha bajado. Excepto por RJ que tomó poquito porque sabe que él es quien va a conducir de regreso a casa.

El escenario es básicamente un parque y una plaza en San Pedro Atocpan de los cuales tenía fotos y pude aprovechar para esta pieza.

Basically here is my drawing for this year's Mexican Independence Day. For some time now, every year in September I draw the band as mariachis for the 15th. I like to think that it is an AU That I have named "Los niños viejos" which in fact is the original name of the band. "Worn Down Children" is just one way of translating the name into English because the literal "Old Kids" translation sounded kind of bad. But the phrase I got the title from occurred to me in Spanish so "Los niños viejos" is actually the original.

Here we can see the mariachi band that continues singing until dawn. The party they were hired for ended a couple of hours ago. But they're still a little drunk. Except for RJ who didn't drink too much because he knows he's the one driving home.

The setting is basically a park and a square in a town named San Pedro Atocpan of which I had photos and was able to take advantage of for this piece.
