Si yo no te tengo a ti

City kids exit to the countryside and see stars for the first time.
So I got my ending credits, Now I just got to do the show. Lol
This is another idea I had in mind for a good while, and after the animation I posted a couple weeks ago I felt like I was in an animating mood so here it is! I finally did it!
This isn’t the only piece I’ve made that had the Hombres G song “Si yo no te tengo a ti” as the title. I got a vibe from it once and I’v tried to put it into a piece a couple of times. The version I posted here of course is mute due to copyright and such. But here you can see a longer version of this animation accompanied by the song. Now I just need some credits to put it over.

I guess this song is another one of the of the playlist I could make to show how I think the band would sound like. Except with Zara as the singer of course.
This forms parts of the Band on the road series I was talking about last week. Just the band having a nice time on the road, with RJ on the wheel this time of course so they now can relax and look at the landscape and the stars. Maybe this song comes on the radio I don’t know, It’s just a simple loop I wanted to try. Last year I did a little bit of an experiment with lighting on a couple of wips I posted here for a piece I did not finish… Yet! But those experiments ended up being useful for this animation in the end. I like this Loop I ended with, I think it could be used as one of those Lo Fi animations on youtube or something.
The background is based on a highway I saw on veracruz. Not sure which one honestly, and the town, While I made it look a bit less populated here, is slightly based on a cove in Acapulco, Guerrero called Caleta Caletilla. I was there many years ago and Stayed on a hotel called Caleta Poseidon that used to be famous as it appeared as the setting of a Cantinflas movie, and that a couple of years ago I discovered has been abandoned since. There’s some videos on youtube of people going in to explore and they look kind of haunted. I’t is a pretty uncanny experience as I do have a lot memories of the place and that’s what inspired me in 2020 to work in this piece featuring the band visiting the abandoned place and fooling around in the now empty pool:

So you could say that these two pieces are related, maybe here they are on their way to discover the abandoned place, who knows? I also want to revisit that concept with Nicole and her friends later.

Thanks for fixing it, it's working just fine now! The full length video looks and sounds even better now that it's longer, with a translation and especially that I no longer have to look up and play the song separately alongside it. ;)

2023-05-26 02:23:15 +0000 UTCBeautiful animation! It really does feel like a TV show credits sequence that fits perfectly with the song (which I admittedly had to look up elsewhere since the youtube link seems to be private and therefore unwatchable X3 ) I really hope the show that accompanies this ending credits sequence gets made someday. ;)
