Commentary:
In adapting Siggy's project, I took some creative liberties but I think the overall flavor of this project remains similar.
For starters, the Tauren isn't shackled. Other than for the sake of practicality (Siggy bent the Tauren's arms unnaturally imo, and the model has a limited range of motion before it starts to deform), I came up with a more diegetic reason for him being completely unbound.
My headcanon for this scene is that this Tauren and Orc are lovers and were caught red-handed in a tent by these Kul'tirans, and brought back as prisoners of war. They were to be punished (or even executed) severely, but those Kul'tirans cut the Tauren a deal: thoroughly submit to a severe lashing (among other indignities), and his lover may be spared. And thus, there is no need to bind that Tauren; he chooses to submit. As for why that Orc/Tauren are rock hard despite the danger? They get off on it. Maybe them being so loud in public is how they caught in the first place.
Now I originally meant for the Tauren to actually get lashed, but it was just a little too violent for my tastes. I'm not one for depicting actual violence; I prefer showing the threat of something scary potentially happening (like the Orc and the sawmill project), and then you can let your mind wander from there and fill in the blanks. I like keeping everything nice and bloodless.
The whip bearer (or Farhan, as Siggy called him) was also originally meant to be wearing pants just like how Siggy had him in his project, but I started off the project with him naked and never bothered to dress him. I'm sure we all prefer to see his giant evil cheeks anyways. If you look closely, you might also notice he's a wee bit smaller than the other guys. Maybe that's why he's overcompensating so hard with that whip. 🤔
The two images with Siggy in them are just bonus fun pics so don't read too deep into those.
Other than that, I don't have much else to say. I liked how the project turned out, and Siggy is always an endless source of inspiration.
