#102 - sanctification

Inspired by a three part project by Siggy.

Siggy, as I keep saying over and over again, is my creative muse. He's been an irreplaceable part of my creative process as far back as #67 - hardening. That wasn't his commission, but I found out very quickly just from talking to him casually that he had incredibly refined creative tastes, and he has consistently provided the best advice and critiques for my projects ever since.

And I've always bugged Siggy into trying this little hobby of ours because I always wanted him to be able to tap into that vast creative well of his for himself. Siggy's own creations are just as brilliant and interesting as he is, and I'm honored to be able to present my take on one of his projects, but with a twist.

You can read the elaborate story Siggy wrote for his project in that link above. I decided to flip the roles of the two goats. Eredar don't get a lot of representation in general (especially now that they're becoming a playable cosmetic option), so I figured it'd be nice to depict a vulnerable Eredar for a change. Plus I love evil Lightforged goats, and it's actually totally canon that they're becoming kinky and psycho now that they have nothing better to do.

Each of the candle flames you see in the scene were rather painstakingly "inserted" by hand through Photoshop. I thought it was a smart move at the time; it would give me precise control over how I wanted the flames to look rather than doing it the "smarter" way of actually simulating + rendering out flames. Then I remembered that the LF goat has rather shiny and reflective metal parts on his body which would reflect the flames too...so guess who had to also painstakingly insert those flame reflections by hand onto those reflective metal parts. πŸ’€ I was a bit more loosey goosey with those flame reflections, but if I didn't tell you about them just now, would you have noticed? πŸ™‚

There's a third part from Siggy's project that I haven't adapted yet where that Eredar goes in for a taste. That's a bit of a more complicated pose to nail down more accurately (vs. how Siggy did it), so I decided to pass on that for now.

Oh and really good work on the candles! Accidentally doubling the work is a whoops but it was worth it!
