a very sexy new orc OC

Closing out the Orctober festivities with a promising look at a new OC of mine. I don't have a proper name or story for him yet, so for now I'm just tentatively calling him hornyfang 2.0.

I think you can tell already that he sports a fair amount of new customization options from SL.

The skin + tattoos were fairly simple to implement. I did customize the tattoo a little bit, so you can't quite get this option in-game. I also decided to forgo warpaints with this OC because I thought they would be too much. The tusk rings are a bit of an interesting story actually; I had to resize them to fit this Orc model since he's pre-SL (SL Orcs seem to have slightly fatter tusks by default).

I did make a pretty big point regarding his hair on my Twitter. Cornrow hairstyles don't seem to have an underlying textural component to it on the model itself, so the in-game consequence is that their heads look...a little bare. Mr. Hornyfang himself suggested that I do *something* to make this less jarring, so I added some textures there for extra dimension. It's extremely subtle but I think it's much better than having nothing there at all. Actually, many races seem to be missing (or downright abandoned like Humans) the "hair" textures on the scalp/facial area, but that's a discussion point for another day.

Combining those new SL additions with the standard Orc model, and then giving him a Mag'har hairstyle (such a combination is *still* not possible in-game unfortunately) results in a very exotic looking Orc, ready for "action".

I haven't imported the other new SL geosets (you can think of geosets as basically hairstyles and such) yet into any of the models that I'm using. That'd be a very time consuming process and I think I'm just gonna import as I go along with my creative journey.

Physically, this Orc doesn't really push any boundaries in one way or another. He's big and beefy, and that's about it. It's a tried and true look and I don't want to foist any other heavy customizations onto this Orc. I think his biggest selling point is simply that he's dark and handsome af.
