This commission is from November 2018.
As of this post, this is the latest project featuring a Draenei and a Night Elf. In hindsight, I think I could've done a lot better with this one. The lighting wasn't executed as tightly as I would want nowadays; it's definitely not "sexy" lighting. There's a lot of other things I could nitpick with this one too, but underwhelming lighting is definitely a big sore spot for me.
I don't usually touch my older projects when I'm preparing them to be reposted. At most, I usually just update my watermark. This time around though, I did alter some of the post-production I had applied to these images originally to clean them up a bit. Everything is generally brighter and clearer than in the original versions. There's only so much that I can do without re-rendering the project from scratch with completely new lighting, but I wouldn't go that far for an old project. I think it would be better to save those efforts for an entirely new project instead.
I still think the Draenei is pretty hot. The lighting (again with the lighting) was just a little too dark though, which made showing off his already dark-skinned body rather tricky. The Night Elf though, ehhhhhh. This is one of two big reasons why I've started to perform substitutions with my newer commissions. What is a substitution, you might ask? Basically, I create two versions of your commission. Your version features your characters, and it remains exclusive to you (unless if you yourself want to share it). My version may include substituted characters within the scene, and this is the version that I would share publicly. Sometimes it's just a better idea to change up the appearance of a character for the public, or just for my own personal satisfaction of seeing one of my characters being in the scene. The other reason is simple; some people would prefer to have a more private commission. I haven't run into that situation yet, but it's nice to start covering my bases just in case.
Anyways, the theme and the storyline here is pretty much non-existent. I probably won't be incorporating it into my personal world-building either. I still like the general idea of what happened here. I mean who would honestly object to seeing a hot Draenei being sucked dry by a hot NE? It's definitely an idea that I would like to explore again in the future, hopefully better that time. But as for this project, nah I'm not gonna remake it down the line.
