Hello MCindusMODS Patrons!
Thank you so much for your support! Without you, I wouldn’t be able to spend this time working on making FF8 amazing! I apologize for the late updates as October has been a difficult month, yet aside from a couple of setbacks I am still working consistently and diligently on the mods! Here are a few updates and some new information regarding the coming weeks!
CURRENT PROJECTS:
3D Sculpting: Last month, I started working hard sculpting the FF8 enemies in Zbrush! These models will be used to replace the current enemy models in game via OpenVIII (by default) -or- the Remaster (if we’re able to crack the model files). This month I will be creating polygon shapes in 3dsmax to export to Zbrush for sculpting, continuing my work from last month. I will also be doing main Characters, GFs, and eventually Bosses!
FF8 Unity Development:I am diving in head-first back into my Balamb Garden continent re-creation for Unity! Eventually, this will be a playable continent, with Fire Cavern, world battles, and full B-Garden exploration! I have previews available on the discord! https://discord.gg/aQdGzbV
LP MODS NEWS:
Maki is hard at work making the ‘any sized’ texture replacements possible for the current mods available! This will allow us to use MUCH better upscaled textures for the remaster. Goodbye Pixels! Once he has completed that, he stated that he is going to work on being able to inject field background textures, world textures, and battlefield textures!
Released Mods (Regularly Updated):
- SeeDRemastered v1.1 — (EN) Complete. Other Languages in progress
- Tripod Remastered v1.1 — Complete. Updates will include border/text options.
- GeroGero Uncensored v1.1 — Complete - Optional update will include fake pres
- Lionheart: Remastered v1.1 — Complete. Need to fix Lionheart alpha issue.
- LunarCry: Field Models Remastered v1.0 — Complete.
- RebirthFlame: Remastered v1.1 — Currently working on Rinoa Update
Mods that are ‘in-the-works':
- SeeDR v1.0 FONTS — Making 3-4 fonts from old mods, nearly complete
- SeeDR v1.0 Gradients — Colors/Designs for text boxes, nearly complete
Mods that are ‘ready to go’ but can’t yet be injected:
- ProjectAngelwing: Remastered v1.0 — Gigapixel Fields: no way to inject yet
- Battlefields: Remastered v1.0 — no way to inject yet
- HorizonPack: Remastered v1.0 — world textures, no way to inject yet
Steam 2013 PC version news:
Project Angelwing v3.0 Gigapixel AI will be released soon!!! Thanks to the hard work of FatedCourage (twitter: @DefyingFate), we will have our first COMPLETE AI Upscales for the game! Also: all 2013 LP updates from last month are still ‘in the works’.
