Hey there guys, sorry I haven't posted in like a week, I got myself a case of the rona. But now I’m fine lol.

The New year is upon us, and I wanna and I want to get ahead by posting what will very probably be my valentine day’s post for 2023. This was going to be it for last year’s but it wasn’t ready, so I had to choose another one from a couple of options, two of those needed some kind of build up before, so I went with the one I posted, which I also love of course.

Featuring Diego… Or Aldo… a Fun fact is that I have a Wip of a reference sheet for him in which I called him Diego, but recently I’ve been made to notice that when I’ve posted about him in the past I've referred to him as Aldo. So I’m not completely sure what his name is. I like Diego more on its own, but Aldo is such an Odd name that somehow it fits. I’ll use Diego for now but I’m still thinking about it.

He is Lil's old friend from middle school, they knew each other from a tabletop games club from when Lil used to play. And they used to spend a lot of time hanging out before Zara started the band. He is studying Engineering and has been practicing taekwondo since he was 15. He’s never been that good but finds it fun so he keeps going. Only as a fun fact, he studied at the same dojo as Veronica from the Whisperers.

Diego has been moving in and out of town constantly, first due to his father’s job and then due to him going to college and working on his thesis, but every time he comes back Lil and him become inseparable again.

The rest of the band have an inside joke that those two are dating but haven’t noticed, and to a degree it’s kind of true, deep down at some level they have to know what’s going on, but they’re a couple of shy guys. They’ll get there, eventually. Time is on their side.

She gave him good taste in music and he got her into One Piece. I think that kind of describes them well lol. Another thing is that he has some allergies and is the one person Lil would never smoke in front of.

So my plan is to post this one on February 14, unless something happens, I get something better or change my mind, I do want to post something else before that, as some kind of build up. At least something to reintroduce the character. I already kind of did tho. He appears in the background of my latest holiday piece.

The companion piece of music for this Piece is obviously Rod Stewart’s Young Turks. But especially this cover by Lissie which I like to imagine to be one made by the band and is one of my favorite examples of how I imagine the band sounds.
