Diana Live Series.

The story behid this Piece is very simple, and This one is kind of old, from around I had finally decided on the concept of the band for my art and Ocs.

It is the first piece of a series that was supposed to be album covers for live singles for the band or something. It was inspired by recordings and photos from concerts from the 70s and 80s. In particular, as I came up with this concept while watching it, Genesis recordig of a concert on London that formed part of the Duke Tour in 1980.

I used it as reference taking inspitarion of the angles of their shots, the way the camera reacted to the light to make it look retro and the way that in each shot the stage and the band seems to be covered by an especific colour at the time. Obviously not something exlusive to this concert but I took the reference from here.

One of the ideas for the series is that each piece was going to have it's own dominant colour.

Here you can see Diana almost completelly sorrounded by a a redish orange, playing the guitar as she is seen form a low angle almost as if the picture or video was being taken directly from the audience.

The tragic part about this series is that as I write this I haven't finished it. There's two pieces finished and sketches for other two. For some reason I got stucked making the Tony one. I had a hard time finding an angle that I liked and for some reason I kept I kept postponing it.  I've always been a procastinator.

That's the reason I haven't posted this one publicly yet. Not until I have at least 4. I wanna revisit this project but now I fear my style may have changed too much since then. lol. Oh well. I'll have to find out.
