NY 2030 + my return

Hey Banished fans!

I won't get into the boring personal reasons why I've been away, but mainly just run-of-the-mill relationship issues.

I've decided to relaunch a project called NY 2030 I had been working on, but instead of in comic form with renders I'm just writing long form fiction.

If you've played my games, which I'm assuming you have, you kind of know my recipe. Dystopian city with extreme divide between the rich and the normal(poor).

In NY 2030 we have the majority of people living in run down cities, with each continent having a special complex called a Citadel. The Citadel is where you want to be. It is clean, crime-free, high-tech, and the future of humanity. They extend vertically beyond the clouds and compete with other Citadels for talent and resources.

Under the citadels are layers of underground dwellings, an underclass who provides the labor for the citadels. They are worse off than the plain city dwellers, but have no other choice.

Anyway, I have 8 stories I want to tell in this universe, and some of you are already familiar with one of them if you've read my comic.

I want each character to have 10 issues, which each issue being around 5,000 words.

Today's offering is a near-complete first issue of the Angelica storyline, one that has been forming in my head for close to a year now. Read it here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/ny-2030-angelica-78138359

I've decided to rework my patron tiers to be the following:

Supporter - Get access to packs of finished volumes of 5 issues. So there will be two main releases per storyline for you. Or something like that.

Gamer/Reader - Get access to each finished issue as they come out.

Creator - Get access to polls about what character issue you want worked on next as well as access to the writer's room on discord (which I'll create)

Designer - Create a character to be worked into the storyline/issue of your choice

Tester - This is a beta reader that has first draft access to what I'm working on. All of you are beta reader's with this initial release, so I hope you'll give your feedback!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this first (almost finished) issue of Angelica. I'm having so much fun with it, and I couldn't stay away from this anymore :D
