School of Lust v0.2.2 Progress Report (June) & Survey results

Hi everyone! Here's an update on what we've been up to the past week and the results of the survey we recently have done.

Thank you so much to all of you who have completed the survey. We were expecting around 100-200 responses to the survey, but we're currently at over 750 responses! We hope to do a few more soon, with different questions, as your choices were very enlightening to us.

Most of you will be wondering when the next update releases, so let's get that over first; Soon-ish...

In all seriousness, if everything goes as planned, we hope to release it later this month, but it's going to be a big one. That said, development is progressing very smoothly (knock on wood) at the moment!

As I mentioned in earlier posts, we'll be mainly focusing on new gameplay content and more scenes in version 0.2.2. Expect quite a few new scenes in the upcoming release, including the revelation of the futa and what the heck is wrong with Nicole... We'll post more detailed information on what's being added to version 0.2.2 and when to expect it in the next progress report.

One of the biggest complaints about School of Lust in the recent survey has been the limitation of the in-game days, and we've decided to change the way this works in the upcoming version 0.2.2 (and beyond), so you can play as long as you want. There will no longer be a day limit (or a lever). We found a way to make this work with future updates.

As we announced recently, we've hired an additional talented artist, who is working to create new (animated) scenes for School of Lust. Here's a (censored) work-in-progress sample of his first scene;

It's never easy to mimic the art style of another artist, especially an art style that is quite unique, but we think he did a pretty fine job (especially the smooth animation and the Gip censorship). Let us know what you think of the sample!

We're also preparing to deploy the "download portal", which is planned to be ready within this week. The download portal will make it possible to download the game/updates (for both Windows & Mac) instantly from a private page on our website, instead of having to wait for us to manually send out download links by e-mail with each new update for School of Lust. This should be quite a significant change, considering 99.99999% of the comments on our Patreon page are (rightfully) about you guys asking for a download link =)

Now on to the survey results!

We're happy to say that it looks like the crashing problem has been improved over the earlier versions. Only 4.1% of you reported that the game still crashes often, which is a lot less than our previous poll, where almost 30% of you reported that the game crashed quite a few times. We're still working to optimize the game, which should hopefully fix the issues all together.

When it comes to the girls, it looks like most of you want Sofia to be in the spotlight next. We have a few REALLY hot scenes for Sofia in the works, and while not all of 'm may be in the upcoming version 0.2.2, one of her scene is already implemented.

Right after Sofia, we have Flora, which also has an awesome scene planned for version 0.2.2. It's the scene that the Gip haters are going to enjoy most (which is pretty much every single one of you). It's also the scene that we're currently working on, and I'll post a sample of it in the next progress report. We also have a threesome scene planned, that Flora will be part of, but I can't promise yet if it will be in the upcoming release or the release after, as we haven't started on it yet.

I'm quite surprised that Aiyana and Dunia didn't get much love from you guys! I guess we should do another poll after we've properly introduced those two characters (in version 0.2.2). 

This one was quite an eye-opener. It looks like almost 1 in 5 of you hate the mini-games! As expected however, the new literature game is quite popular.

We're currently adjusting the mini-games, so you can completely skip the mini-games after the first time, similar to the "Job Agency" mini-game. You will receive a fixed 1 skill point (the same thing will happen if you give up on a mini-game or if you fail a mini-game). However, if you complete a mini-game, you will be able to receive more points. In other words, they won't be as "punishing" any more.

One of our main concerns was the amount of dialogue. There's quite a lot of reading and I know gamers aren't a fan of that, but according to the survey results, you guys are quite fine with the amount of dialogue, as only 3% thought there was too much dialogue. Only 1.5% chose that they skipped (pretty much) all the dialogue. I assume that means that the dialogue was interesting enough as well.

15,4% Of you were not a fan of the shop management part of the game, which is a lot higher than I anticipated. However, for those that chose "no", keep in mind that the shop management is not yet completed. We're still working on adding new features, unique h-scenes and more ways to produce and market (hint! hint!) sex toys to sell them. The next management mechanic of the game will be more boner inducing as well.

Around 1 out of 3 of you don't seem to be fans of futanari, which is understandable (although, futanari is life!). That said, some of you were wondering how the futanari will be implemented to the game;

If you disable futanari content, the futa girl's penis will be removed, and thus she will transform into a normal girl, only having a single boring vagina. If you have it enabled, she will have both sets of genitals (a throbbin' penis AND a wet vagina). So in other words, the scenes will pan out differently. It's also another reason to play the game again (with futanari enabled and disabled).

As expected, you guys want more H-scenes and the option to date the girls. We're definitely focusing on both for the upcoming updates (now that the quality of life updates are mainly done). Hypnosis is also one of our main focuses. We plan to flesh it out more, so I think you guys will be satisfied with what we're working on.

Finally, we had a few awesome (other) suggestions for the game. While we may not reply individually to your suggestions (or feedback), we've read through all of them, and we're blown away with some of the great suggestions that we never even thought about. Thank you so much for those!
