I don't actually remember when I first started watching you, it was years ago on YouTube. But I started with your Buffy series and it has been so much fun. Like watching with a friend who really gets the show and loves it. Your reaction's are always down to earth, slightly analytical, and feel good. You don't criticize unless there's a reason to, which I appreciate. You aren't negative just be negative. And in fact rarely negative, but appreciative of the shows ups and downs.
I'm very excited for season 5 of Angel. It's one of my favorite seasons.
As for the final episode of Buffy, I can understand your reaction. It is a quick episode, with lots of quick character choices like Buffy kissing Angel and then deciding to push him out of the fight, and Anya dying quickly. I won't analyze all that, as there are better analysts than me for Buffy. I think the final episode is not the strongest episode, But it is very fitting. And has some really awesome moments. Beautiful end for the characters overall but I do get the feeling sometimes that some things were left out. The whole season feels very slow in many episodes for the plot, and at the end it is resolved quickly.
I've seen Buffy about 10 times now. I'm a huge fan of the show and the fan base is passionate. Glad you enjoyed it too.

I enjoyed watching these all with you. Your predictions were amazingly off the wall sometimes. Love it 🤣
Anya’s death always makes me cry but I love that Andrew survived. The scene a few episodes back of the two of them getting supplies at the hospital foreshadows this, but with the reverse outcome expected. Can’t wait for “Angel” season 5!

I have been here since I recommended your brother react to Buffy on his channel back in the day. I remember being excited he gave it a try but I was even more happy to see you took on this show. I have enjoyed your reactions over the years. Thank you for sticking with the show. Many people have strong reactions to how we felt while watching Buffy and often feel like this show has and continues to help us while going through some tough times. Glad to see your love for Snyder never waned lol. Hope u enjoy Angel s5. Its my fav Angel season.

Hi Nick, I just want to say that I had never followed anyone's reactions before; it wasn't even something that crossed my mind... until July last year. I was going through a rough patch personally and started watching Buffy again (my favorite show along with Friends, but I hadn't seen it in a while), and when I got to the musical episode, I was curious if there were any reactions to it on YouTube. I discovered your channel and started following you (and occasionally two others).
Although I have to say that there have been a few months when I've canceled my subscription for financial reasons, it has been a joy and a comfort for me to be able to follow your reactions and almost (almost) enjoy them as if I were watching the series for the first time, so I am very grateful for that...
I love Buffy; I've seen it a million times, and it's always a pleasure. As for the finale, I agree that I wish it had been a little longer, but even so, it was epic and more than satisfying. I just want to point out two things that you may not have noticed.
First, the scene with the Scoobies before the battle is a clear reference to the end of the first two-part episode of season 1, a perfect little touch of nostalgia.
And second, the last thing Buffy says is “Spike” in the entire final scene; it's the only thing she says, which is a nice touch for those of us who love the character and their relationship.
PS. Like others said, skip the opening of Angel episode 1 of season 5; it's definitely a spoiler.

I remember the first time i watched this episode - I was 12 years old ... I cried for an hour 😂
And I still tear up whenever I watch it.
I wish this episode was longer! Ive often felt that a two parter for Kaleb was unnecessary and they really should've done a two parter for the battle. I always felt like the spell Willow did seemed too easy - an ancient power like that should've required a hell of a lot more work than just touching the weapon.
And I also wish Anya and Xander had one more moment together before she died.
But all- in- all I think this wrapped everything up. The smile on Buffys face at the end is beautiful.

Hey Nick!
First of all, I just finished the reaction and I just wanted to say that you articulated yourself very well and I completely agree with you on pretty much everything you said in your outro. I definitely feel like Anya’s death was a bit rushed. It’s not so much that she died (I mean, it is… I love Anya 😂), but I think the execution could have been handled better—no pun intended. As for Spike, I think the way he goes out feels earned. Spike has arguably had the best, most dramatic arc out of any character in the Buffyverse. I’m glad that if he was going to die, it was in a way that allowed him to be the hero. I feel like I have so much more to say, but it’s really late here and I’m struggling not to fall asleep… so maybe I will revisit this tomorrow. But seriously, I’ve been following your Buffy reactions since S1E1 and it’s been such a wild ride. I often feel alone in my love for BTVS, so getting to go on this journey with someone who loves it as much as I do has been extremely gratifying. There have been so many moments where I felt like I was watching it again for the first time through you. It’s been really special, so I truly thank you for that.
I do wonder whether you’re going to consider watching the Buffy sequel coming to Hulu, which will be directed by Chloe Zhao? Not much has been revealed about the project yet, and we don’t really have a solid timeline on release, but we do know that SMG is producing the show and returning in a recurring capacity as Buffy—apparently serving as a mentor figure to a new, young slayer named Nova. I think this is interesting, considering how S7 ends (with all the potentials being activated). I’m not too privy to the comics, which take place after S7… but I guess I’m just wondering if Nova will be the only slayer or if there are still slayers all over the world?
I’ll be honest. The thought of a sequel makes me nervous. But SMG has been vehemently against reviving Buffy for years… so the fact that she believes in Chloe’s vision for continuing the Buffyverse gives me hope. I just hope they’re able to find that perfect balance of melodrama and comedy that makes BTVS so unique. I’m cautiously optimistic…
And finally, I know you’re still processing this finale… and you still have S5 of Angel along with literally EVERYTHING ELSE you’re reacting to… but I’m curious if you’re thinking about taking up another show in Buffy’s place? If not, that’s totally cool. I know you just started Stranger Things and, when it comes to content, you keep us SO well-fed. But if you’re looking for shows that sort of provide the same overall feel as Buffy, I would highly recommend Charmed or Xena: Warrior Princess. Buffy, Charmed, and Xena are pretty much my holy trinity of badass-female television shows and I think they’d be right up your alley. 😂😄🫶
PS - if Chloe Zhao doesn’t SOMEHOW bring Snyder back, I’m throwing the whole thing in the trash! 😂😂

I was the same age as Buffy when it aired. Like I graduated when she did. So it really connected to me cause I was going through a lot of the metaphors of the time growing up then
Then around season 4 or so my mom started catching the reruns and got into it and suddenly when we started drifting apart as I went to college Buffy gave us something we could talk about and nerd out on together
My college roommate got a TiVo and stuff he first setup to record we’re friends and Buffy so we connected watching those in his room
My senior year at college…for the premiere they setup a movie screen and had a big screening for the season 7 premier outside my dorm. Even had a singing contest on who could do the best songs from the Buffy musical (I got in second)
But. The shows had an impact on my life. And have enjoyed watching you watch it the first time. And myself rewatching for the first time in a while.
As far as the ending, yes lots of nitpicks on like doing more about Anya’s ending and other things you mentioned. But it was meant to be open ended. It ended with them asking Buffy what are you gonna do now? And her just standing and smiling cause she didn’t know cause before she always had this preplanned destiny. Now she didn’t. And she doesn’t know and she’s happy cause the weight is off of her
