The show Ross and Joey are watching because Gandalf didn't come is the REAL Days of our Lives, Joey was in a fictional version of it, though when he fell down the elevator shaft there was a real actor/character from it, but everything else from Joey's days was fictional. (Though when they have the roof party in S9 there are two real actors from the show, but it's never said what their characters names are, or even if they are playing themselves or not. One other time on Joey's days there was a real actress that's on the real days, but she wasn't playing herself or her character.)
