As a major fan of Friends, I kinda get it, because automatically I remember all the Friends plots, but this is just what happens throughout the years with series from the same premise. All this sitcoms based on a group of friends/family inspired the next. Cheers, Seinfeld, Friends, HIMYM, TBBT, Modern Family and so on. Personally, everybody wins and the sitcoms never die. In my country there was a famous TV host that used to say "on TV, nothing is invented, everything is based on something that existed before".

2025-09-25 01:48:32 +0000 UTCThey ripped off friends again XD. Joey got cut from Law and Order. There's a few other minor plot things that feel ripped from friends... I'm not going to meantion them, because I am pretty sure you've seen those episodes, but not positive enough to risk spoilers. But yeah, in one they took a whole episode plot with chandler and turned it into a one minute scene with Stewart.

2025-09-24 14:25:46 +0000 UTCI agree that Amy's dating Sheldon has had a huge impact on her life and has changed and broadened her life for the better in many ways. That said, I think Amy meeting Penny through Sheldon has possibly had the biggest impact, or it certainly broadened her life the most. As Amy said in one of the episodes.. "Now, I'm a downtown, party hipster girl!"(or something to that effect, lolπ) While she never had a boyfriend before Sheldon, she also never really had a friend, never had a sister.. let alone someone like Penny that she could look up to and teach her about things like fashion, "girl stuff", relationships, how to be a little less "buttoned-up", a little more "cool"π.. To me, Penny is kind of like a cool, older sister for Amy; not literally older but you get my meaning. βΊοΈ

2025-09-16 18:24:05 +0000 UTCI had a lot of respect for Leonard in not accepting Penny's proposal; he knew as you said, that she was kinda spiraling.. really sad, had too much to drink and he didn't want to take advantage of the situation. It reminded me of the 1st season Halloween party episode where Penny had had a lot to drink, she was sad about her ex boyfriend, Kirk causing a scene with Leonard, was concerned for Leonard's feelings and she started to kiss him.. Leonard cared too much about her to take advantage of the situation and he pulled back; I think in both cases Leonard had more respect for Penny and her welfare than maybe Penny had for herself right then.

However, I still agree that this Christmas episode was very creative and entertaining. Poor Stewart, inserting himself in the storylines.
