So, I skipped ahead to listen to your afterthoughts for this reaction, and I wanted to leave my movie recommendation here before I forgot, as I may not have time to listen to it again when I watch the whole movie through with you.
If you're asking specifically for live action movies for next week (rather than animated), I think Dances With Wolves would make a perfect follow-up to this.
I suggest that one because it's another historical drama with a powerful message, but also because Dances is Kevin Costner's directorial debut, and where Braveheart put Mel Gibson on the map as a director, earning him a place in the directorial pantheon, Dances did the same for Costner. He did an incredible job, and Dances won him awards, but aside from that, it's just a fantastic movie with a gorgeously told story.
If you're asking for any kind of movie, then here is where I have to again recommend The Wild Robot. it would be a hell of a shift in gears from this one, but I just think you two would love that one so much, I can't help saying it.

You are not even joking that stuff is already happening in the US today. People assassinate others for words, and then half of the public celebrates. It’s disgusting.
I don’t think anyone knows the answer but it needs to end.
