The Hunchback of Notre Dame is great but I would suggest The Little Mermaid first, unfortunately I can't think of a single sequel that is worth watching, including Pocahontas 2, they almost always completely destroy the original story in order to introduce a new story or love interest or just flip the story so the child wants to do the opposite of the parent. Anastasia is also a good one, voiced by John Cusak (Con Air, amazing film), Kelsey Grammer (Fraser/Sideshow Bob), Meg Ryan (A lot of Rom Com movies), Christopher Lloyd (Back to the future and the Addams Family) and Angela Lansbury (Mrs Potts from Beauty and the Beast). It's loosely based on the assassination of the russian royal family and rumours that the daughter Anastasia survived. It also involved Rasputin who was believed was immortal as rumour has it he was shot, stabbed, poisoned and drowned but never died and was a close friend and advisor to the Romanov family.
