I personally think that it's actually the exact OPPOSITE of selfish to not have kids if you don't truly want them. It would never be fair to the child.

Nick, I've tried a few other reactors of TBBT and for me, your reactions are just the best! You aren't overly critical or overly analytical, but you do offer great insights and appreciation for the characters, as well as the writers, creators of the series. Your comments regarding Bernadette & Howard's differing attitudes about having children, and why it's ok that it's not for everyone is a nice case in point. Speaking from the perspective of a 65 yr old mom who has two grown sons, neither of whom are either ready or want to have kids... being a grandmother someday has always been a dream of mine and so it's been a difficult choice to accept that it doesn't look like that's going to happen after all. At the same time, I love my sons(and my daughter-in-laws) dearly and I respect their choices. With the state of the world, I even understand it.π€· Not that if one of them changes their mind I wouldn't still be thrilled, lol!ππ
