WandaVision 7-9 FULL Reactions

WandaVision 7-9 FULL Reactions

I think every single antidepressant on the market currently comes with a risk of increased depressive symptoms and/or suicidal ideation.

Some MCU news I just picked up from New Rockstars (a Youtube channel devoted to breaking down trailers and episodes, and latest entertainment news): The new MCU TV show, "Daredevil: Born Again" which is released in March this year, is now going to be a full continuation of the earlier 3 seasons of the Daredevil show which aired on Netflix. The original plan was to make the new show a loose continuation, but the new concept, is for it be a Season 4 of the earlier show. This increases the importance of the earlier show that I mentioned and assessed in an earlier comment on this video.

On a different subject, Disney+ has a behind the scenes programme about the making of WandaVision that is worth a watch (but perhaps not a reaction). Did you know, for example, the first couple of episodes were actually filmed in front of a live TV audience, just like those old TV shows were. The actors talk about how scary that was!

Stephen Paynter

Does it really take place before DSatMoM? I assumed it took place afterwards. In any case, release order is the way to go.

I think Loki is necessary because of the role the organisation introduced in Loki S1 plays in Deadpool and Wolverine. I think you are probably right about the importance of Falcon and Winter Soldier but more from what I think will happen in movies that have not been released yet, than because of story arcs which impact the already existing MCU. I agree She-Hulk and Moon Knight are skipable, but I too like both, and I am very glad I've seen them. Likewise for Werewolf by Night ... I especially love his monster friend - I have ever since I met his story of pathos in the comics way back when. Good point about the GotG special being important for GotG3 (as well as fun!) I love Ms Marvel, and I agree her story and family are so necessary to the Marvels movie. Also, I think the "representation" aspect of the show is so important and refreshing - it makes the show culturely important, like the first Black Panther movie.

59. The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (March 2021 – April 2021) Personally, I didn't find this the most riviting show - but if you like these characters it shouldn't be missed. The Falcon especially has an arc which will I believe be picked up in one of the MCU movies coming soon. 60. Loki (June 2021 – July 2021) A must - especially as Loki is such a great interesting character. Also an interesting agency is introduced which plays a big part in later a later MCU movie. 61. Black Widow (July 2021) 62. What If...? season 1 (August 2021 – October 2021) Fascinating stories of how the movies we've already seen could have been so different if only some small change had happened. But a cartoon, so not to everyone's taste. Could be missed, but some later MCU movies have scenes which won't resonate so fully. 63. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (September 2021) 64. Eternals (November 2021) 65. Hawkeye (November 2021 – December 2021) A nice enough escapade for Hawkeye. It introduces a new character that looks like will play an important role in MCU movies yet to be made. 66. Spider-Man: No Way Home (December 2021) The non-MCU spider-man movies should be watched first. 67. Moon Knight (March 2022 – May 2022) A fascinating show that hasn't yet paid off in any MCU movies. It does world-build the Marvel universe however. 68. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (May 2022) 69. Ms Marvel (June 2022 – July 2022) A good solid show, with admittedly weak villians. It does introduce a new MCU hero who is so fresh. A must for a later MCU movie. The first MCU show or movie to mention mutants. 70. Thor: Love and Thunder (July 2022) 71. I Am Groot season 1 (August 2022) A great collection of very short adventures for cute bady Groot. Not to be missed based on entertainment value alone. 72. She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (August 2022 – October 2022) This show has lots of haters, but I liked it. It does re-introduce an old MCU villian from way back, and just about introduces a new MCU character that I am sure will crop up again in future projects. (A version of) Daredevil from the Netflix show "Daredevil" appears, as does a villian. Netflix did 4 "street-level" Marvel hero shows that are interrelated: "Jessica Jones (s1-2)"; "Daredevil (s1-3)"; "Iron Fist (s1-2)" and "Luke Cage (s1-2)". These 4 heroes/shows joined together in the show "The Defenders" for one season. For She-Hulk the first season of Daredevil would probably be enough. All are good. "Jessica Jones" S1 is fantastic, as it has possibly the best villian in Marvel shows, IMO. [[ If you do decide to go down this rabbit hole, the release watch order for the seasons of these shows is the way to go: 19. Daredevil season 1 (April 2015) 23. Jessica Jones season 1 (November 2015) 25. Daredevil season 2 (March 2016) 28. Luke Cage season 1 (September 2016) 30. Iron Fist season 1 (March 2017) 33. The Defenders season 1 (August 2017) 40. Jessica Jones season 2 (March 2018) 43. Luke Cage season 2 (June 2018) 45. Iron Fist season 2 (September 2018) 46. Daredevil season 3 (October 2018) ]] 73. Werewolf By Night (October 2022) A short quirky expansion of the MCU universe. 74. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (November 2022) 75. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (November 2022) Guardians of the Galaxy - nuff said. 76. Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania (February 2023) 77. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3 (May 2023) 78. Secret Invasion (June 2023 – July 2023) Dull show, but it does have Nick Fury in it. 79. I Am Groot season 2 (September 2023) 80. Loki season 2 (October 2023 – November 2023) An excellent season, and Loki! Not sure it is unmissible, but it is good, and really advances Loki's arc. 81. The Marvels (November 2023) 82. What If...? season 2 (December 2023) 83. Echo (January 2024) A character introduced, I think, in Hawkeye, has her own show. I'm not a great fan, but this show is watchable. 84. Deadpool & Wolverine (July 2024) The X-Men universe joins the MCU. As a minimum the Deadpool movies, and some of the X-Men and/or Wolverine movies and Logan need to be known first. Characters from other non-MCU Marvel movies have a cameo. 85. Agatha All Along (September 2024 – October 2024) How does Agatha cope with all her powers being stripped away by the Scarlet Witch? Also intriguing returns of other characters from WandaVision, which will almost certainly be picked up in future MCU stories. 86. What If...? season 3 (December 2024)

Because you've asked, in a reply to this comment, I will give my best advise as to which MCU TV shows you should watch going forward. I will go over the list of MCU movies and shows yet to watch in release order and explain why I think it each item should be watched, or, alternatively, why it may be skipped (of course, it is only my opinions.) I will make this as spoiler free as I can. First though, think about WandaVision. When Wanda appears in the next MCU movie she is in, do you think you would understand her actions in it if you hadn't seen WandaVision, and if you were only thinking about her as having been returned after the second snap? Or when Monica appears in her next movie with her superpowers, would you care that you didn't know how she went from Lt Trouble from Captain Marvel, to what she is now? Also, without seeing WandaVision, would you be interested in Agatha's MCU TV series? If you are not tired of Marvel, the best advice is watch them all,

Stephen Paynter

Honestly, the only show I would skip is secret invasion. The other ones actually tie in other then she hulk and moon knight, but those two are worth watching. She hulk isn’t my favorite but it is worth a watch.

isn't the porch falling down on Bryan Cranston from "Malcolm in the Middle" ? Nexus is a Latin word for connection, usually where multiple elements meet. This name of the antidepressant implies disconnect from everyone in the real world. The ad reflects time period when depression was talked openly about and when medication became a lucrative commodity.

Viera Galikova

I admit, I'm anxious for Shang-Chi (it's in my top 3 MCU), so I'm all about skipping Loki. ;p If you're going to go on with the movies, "Ms. Marvel" will be necessary for "The Marvels."

FernWithy

No worries! it's been my schedule since starting Angel, I do follow the SlayAlive watch order so some weeks I post several episodes of Angel in a row, sometimes several Buffy episodes, that could be why sometimes there's a longer break before the next Buffy episode :)

Nicholas Crowell

Oh, one Buffy-VERSE reaction a week, not Buffy reaction a week. My bad.

Ian Ramsey

May I ask in what sense? My release schedule on patreon has not changed, one Buffyverse reaction every week

Nicholas Crowell

The MCU movie reactions were great. But it feels like Buffy and Angel releases have been demoted in favor of other content.

Ian Ramsey

I think there are some shows you could skip. Loki is great, but I don't think it's necessary. I do think Falcon & Winter Soldier is important. Hawkeye has a connection to Black Widow if you watch that after. You could skip She-Hulk and Moon Knight (I like both but not necessary for the films.) You have to watch the Guardians Holiday Special before GotG 3. There is a big reveal in it that carries into the movie. If you want horror you should watch Werewolf By Night, but that isn't necessary either. Ms. Marvel and her family are in The Marvels, so if you want to know who she is you should watch it

Chris

Loki is the best MCU show and it’s not close!

Jeremy Mejiasdehoyos

I think you should watch all the shows and movies in release order. The shows have lot of stuff that come up in the movies and also in the upcoming movies if you choose continuing MCU after you catch up. And i think the shows are worth the watch and most of them are really good. Also if you want to go deeper in to marvel you should watch x-men and the other spider man movies. There is of course all the other marvel shows like daredevil, jessica jones, punisher etc. (I know it's alot... 😅) But since basically everything is part of the MCU now i highly recommend all of it. Anyway love watching your reaction ❤️

Agatha All Along! A spinoff of WandaVision. It is a do-not-miss show. It has what many have called the best-written episode of the entire MCU. It takes place between WandaVision and Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but you don’t need to have watched MoM to understand it. I really think you’d love it.

Drock Drack

Loki show is worth it! Black widow is a prequel and you can watch it after, but you should watch it BEFORE the Hawkeye series.
