Emma the youtuber: Gen Z reacts to old weird family video ...i actually turned 18 when this episode aired. they're planning for Emma's 18th birthday here ... and i was watching while being 18.

Ted Danson put it best in The Good Place ... when he said he feels like season 8 of friends where they run out of ideas and put Joey and Rachel together even though it didn't make sense

In the bloopers, when Jennifer tries to climb on top of Matt in the chair, he accidentally falls back with the chair - all the way back. She grabs his feet, trying to save him. It's hilarious ... πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I loved the idea of Joey and Rachel and I think the writers dropped the ball. IMO Ross and Rachel were done. They had gotten married, had a kid, and still weren't together. I actually really liked the idea of Monica/Chandler, Joey/Rachel, Ross/Phoebe - Phoebe and Ross were the only charecters that constantly challenged each others views and made the other person see another perspective.

Joey and Rachel: the actors only agreed to do the storyline if the writers agreed that Rachel and Joey would never cross that line of having sex. They felt if Rachel and Joey had sex Rachel and Ross would forever be done. Matt Leblanc also felt Joey would never date one of his best friends love with whom he has a child. My opinion once the writers wrote Emma they should have finally put Ross and Rachel together. I perfectly like the character Joey but they dumb him down so bad and the writers made it very clearly sexual attraction on Rachel’s side. As a 41 year old woman who has been in a friend group where a friend has dated a ex I had a long history with that killed any hope of any future possibles. I agree with the storyline I think they dragged it on too long though.

I think I am one of the only people who loved Joey and Rachel together lol I think the writers gave up too soon on them. If they would of been giving more time they would of been great, the build up to them was great so it made no since to give up too soon. I think people were too obsessed with the idea of "Ross and Rachel" that they didn't want to give Rachel and Joey a chance.

I agree.. there are some holes in it. And it was REALLY annoying about Chandler’s job. But it still had some beautiful moments. And I’m glad that they did it.

I've met guys like Joey in my late 20s, they thought that every woman is the same, you just need to have bunch of moves. Most women probably just faked excitement, because i could tell they're trying to replicate sthg. Not caring what the partner wants or likes. And it was boring and annoying ...

the reunion and i have two small beefs: they do the question of what does Chandler do for a living and they pretend that the correct response is that nobody knows. As if they all forgot that Monica says it's statistical analysis and data reconfiguration, and later on copywriter. And the second thing - they show Reese Witherspoon saying that you could make a show around just one of the 6 friends and it would be successful, and she literally says it after the failure of "Joey" spinoff...

Marshall Eriksen: "You get manicure-pedicure once a month!" Barney Stinson: "Weekly, Wolverine. Some of us care."

I’m not sure if anyone has said this yet, but standard FRIENDS watching rules say that after the last episode, you watch the bloopers, and then you watch reunion episode…and then right back to Season 1, Episode 1 just so that it feels like never actually ended. Because FRIENDS is such a beautiful experience that we never want to end…

When this aired, 2020 seemed so far away and now it's 4 years ago (soon 5). Crazy. I was 27 in 2020 btw! I love both these episodes but especially the birthday one. It's so relatable to have been planning something and wanting everything to be perfect but it doesn't go that way, and yet all that really matters is the people you're with and creating these memories with each other. E3 is also hilarious with Ross's spray tan (never been to one so I have no idea how it works) and Amanda played by the amazing Jennifer Coolidge. And I for one was glad that the Rachel and Joey thing didn't last longer. I think it worked in S8 when Joey had feelings for Rachel but from S9 it was just weird. Fun facts: In E3 when Amanda says "Oh, bugger. I feel like a perfect arse!", the camera moves due to the camera man laughing. There is also an absolutely hilarious blooper where Lisa Kudrow couldn't stop laughing everytime she said the line πŸ˜‚ You should definitely watch all bloopers from S6-10 after you finish the show. In E3, the scene where Rachel successfully removes her bra through her sleeve is a callback to 4x16 when she tried unsuccessfully to do the same thing when she tried to seduce Joshua. Phoebe also does it while they're locked out of the car in 3x17. The joke about Joey facing three cameras every week and not being prepared is a poke at Matt LeBlanc who was notorious for forgetting his lines. E3 is the second time Rachel has had a meal no one paid for. The first one was during lunch with Chandler inΒ 7x11 (TOW all the cheesecakes). Goofs/continuity/character errors: In E3 there would be no logical reason for Phoebe not to go with Monica after hearing about Chandler being in a car accident. Even if Mike was not with him, Phoebe and Chandler have still been close friends for many years. Similarly, in the spray tan booth, there would be no logical reason for Ross to not turn around immediately after the first time he is sprayed from the front. In addition, when getting in the second time, he would just wait until sprayed on the back. Neither of Rachel's parents are there for the birthday party which seems odd. They were also not seen or mentioned during her birth. Realistically it was probably because the actors were unavailable. In 9x21, Monica mentioned that she and Chandler have been trying to get pregnant for over a year, since the day Emma was born. But Emma only turns 1 in E4. In E4 when Joey suggests that he, Jack and Judy give a joint present to Emma, Jack asks "which one are you?" Of the three guys, Ross is Jack's son and Chandler is his son-in-law, so there's no reason for Jack to confuse them. In E3, Monica says the first time Rachel kissed Ross was when she couldn't stop giggling when he touched her butt in 2x15 but their first real passionate kiss was in 2x07. In E4, Judy says that her parents died very young but her mum died in S1 and was clearly not young (she looked about 80-90 years old).

as someone who loves friends and turned 18 in 2020, it was so meta to think that Emma would have been my classmate lol. i’d love to see an episode 17 years later of how the gang would have navigated giving her a covid graduation🀣🀣

Victoria Wilson

Amanda was played by Jennifer Coolidge. She's probably best known as Stiffler's mom from American Pie, but she's been in many other movies including Legally Blonde and the HBO series White Lotus.

Kim McSharry

Amanda was played by the great Jennifer Coolidge who was recently the runaway star of The White Lotus seasons 1 and 2.

Wayne Cox

Probably two of the top 15 funniest episodes of the series. I kept cracking up with you. πŸ˜‚ β€œwas that place, the sun??”
