For me as a Swiss it is always amazing how the writers of TBBT know what a “Räbelichtliumzug” is. It's so random - and of all the Swiss traditions, it's a very small one.

2024-11-20 21:08:39 +0000 UTCI say that based on the frequency with which Sheldon can be selfless but chooses to be selfish instead just to fuel his own ego and quite often demeans his friends in the process. I'm being honest about a character who gets way too much sympathy. Even if he has actual undiagnosed disorders, it doesn't make the way he treats his friends, most specifically Howard okay.

He is a pathological narcissist who's affection for other people is entirely conditional on getting what he wants. Don't get me wrong its funny in the context of the show but the emotional toll it would take to be friends with him is not worth all the crap you have to deal with.
