That’s so sad. I’m sorry you have been through that. I’m with you on the cats. Mine have all passed now, sadly, but I had an indoor camera because I was so scared of being burgled and the door being left open and my cats going outside in fear and then being lost outside, as they were indoor cats. It scared me so much. Our fur babies are our babies, and mean everything to us don’t they. I can’t wait to have another cat sometime soon, hopefully. I feel so sad without my babies. Glad yours were safe Raven, and that you got a few bits back too.x

If someone is so stupid they want to be a construction worker without knowing what sheetrock is or a delivery driver without a driver's license.... I think it's fair on the lady's part to assume he's NOT a particle physicist. lol

When I was a kid, I had a couple friends (brother and sister) whose house was robbed while the family was sleeping inside. Obviously the people were only there for possessions and not to hurt anyone.
They absolutely didn't care about the material things that were taken, but they were terrified of their own home for quite awhile.

Sheldon in the ballpit will forever be the most iconic scene of this entire show.

If they know they've got so many portable electronics? The specific apartment was obviously targeted as opposed to someone like Penny's.

The joker ring tone sounded like Mark Hamills version from the animated series

I don't know why anyone would want to burglarize a fourth floor apartment

I haven't had personal experience with a break in, but I work in forensics, so I've heard alot of things. As you said, it makes perfect sense that it would feel like a huge invasion and that you would be on guard for it to happen again in what you used to consider your safe space.

That bazinga scene is a classic! And yes, this is where Bernadette really showed she can belong with the group, I think. Fun fact: The woman at the employment agency is played by Yeardley Smith, the voice actress for Lisa Simpson :). If you watch it knowing that, you can really tell.

My house was broken into many years ago, but I still remember that feeling of being violated, of having strangers rooting through my most private things, of utter helplessness. I worked for the cops at the time, so they were very quick to respond, and they did actually find the guys a few month slater, though only a few pieces of jewelry were ever recovered. Thank the gods they did *not* hurt my cats; that would have turned awful into truly horrific. But I remember it was early November, and I was heading home from work and thinking about buying Christmas presents for family and friends, so happy just going over in my mind what I was going to get them. Then the utter shock of seeing the scrapings of a forced entry at my door, walking in and every cabinet flung open wide, possessions strewn about. Yeah, it majorly sucks.

My house was broken into when I was a teenager. My parents were away and I was staying at my grandparents house. I was the one who walked into the house finding it in a state. It was a horrible experience.

I was living in my friend's house in a kind of shady part of town and came home one day to find my tv gone. It was such a weird feeling, because my first thought wasn't that we'd been robbed. I knocked on his door and asked where the tv was, and he came out and we both stared at the place that it used to be... turned out I lost a tablet and a few other things as well. Apparently he had left the side door open, and so someone was just going around trying houses to see if any were unlocked. When the cops showed up, they rang the doorbell and then stood way off to the side and waited for me to open it and stick my head outside looking around. Apparently they were afraid of getting shot through the door, so that kind of tells you everything you need to know about the neighborhood. EDIT: The funny thing was, "CSI" did show up in this case. At least, it was a person in a windbreaker and they walked around and dusted for fingerprints 🤷♂️
