Friends 6x23 & 24 & 25 FULL Reactions

Thanks for your patience everyone! What a finale! I was worried for a second there... and I can't wait to jump into Season 7. Let me know what your favorite season of the show so far is and why (If I HAD to choose I'd say 4 or 5 but I'm really undecided)

Joey gesturing ABOVE HIS HEAD to signify "Richard", when Monica tells him he asked her to marry her is the funniest thing. That's a nonverbal sign for Richard... just raise your hand above your head... Richard is tall.

Viera Galikova

That dress on Monica looks PERFECT. She's a vision!

Bruce Willis was known for his comedy acting long before Die Hard. When they cast him in Die Hard, the studio was afraid everyone would think it was a comedy, so Willis' image wasn't used on the early promotional material. I highly recommend the first seasons of the TV show Moonlighting (the later seasons aren't so good) or the movie Blind Date (with Kim Basinger) for 1980s Bruce Willis comedy gold.

Hi Patrick! Episode 21 & 22 is only available for early access on the Super Family tier, it will be unlocked this Friday!

Nicholas Crowell

Hi Nick, I cant get access to episode 21 and 22 for some reason

Patrick

I smile and laugh like an idiot every time he mentions it 😂 Watching back they were obviously planning to set them up (at least from S2) but the way it happened was unexpected!

Hey Nick, so, I’ve been watching Friends with Oscar ever since you had him on your channel for the first episode because watching reactions to Friends twice a week is so fun, but challenging trying to remember what he knows and doesn’t know. He is currently in the middle of S4. Phoebe just became the surrogate for her brother and Ross is going to be meeting Emily any episode now. We’ll be watching their non wedding in London and the beginning of Mondler. What I think is interesting is that Oscar has noticed over the past 3-1/2 seasons how Chandler and Monica seem to console each other when a relationship doesn’t work out and Oscar has been saying in his videos that he hopes Monica and Chandler will get together because he sees chemistry between them. Come to think about it, back in S1 Chandler told Monica that he’d marry her if she wasn’t married by the time she was 30 (I think, maybe 40) This was way before the writers decided to put these two together and Monica took offense to Chandler’s offer wanting to know why she wouldn’t be married by then. It’s so interesting seeing these things from the first couple seasons knowing what’s to come. Oscar is gonna be so happy when he watches that London episode. I can’t wait to watch it all over again. Ross saying the wrong name, Chandler and Monica sneaking around, all of them finding out, Emily’s ultimatum, Ross and Rachel drunk in Vegas 😜

Rachel's joke when Joey first walked in with the captain's uniform was a reference to "Captain & Tennille", a husband/wife singing duo from the 70s. Chandler's joke about the "coconut phone" was a reference to "Gilligan's Island".

season 4 and 5 are my top favourite seasons of this show. But I don't think there is any "Bad" seasons of this show, each season brings something new and fresh to the show and character growth.

I think season five is the best and strongest season. That's not to say that the other seasons aren't great. I love this proposal episode. I love the end where they didn't out a final comedic scene in, it's just Matthew Perry and Courtney Cox dancing. It's so sweet to me that they didn't force a final scene in. I enjoy next season, so can't wait

Susan Stork

Huh, I thought she was referring to the Captain and Tenille. I think they were a couple who were singers? Maybe I'm wrong, but that's who I always thought she meant. Either way it's funny.

Susan Stork

Yes, it's a sweet finale, and super emotional. It's my favorite episode of the entire series! ❤️ As soon as Chandler opens the door and the audience goes quiet and the scene is all set for Monica's surprise, I start crying ahahah. EVERY TIME. And then I react exactly like the audience. We are all happy, only thanks to Mondler. 🥹 For me I don't think Richard was right to tell Mon about his feelings, like Chandler said, he had his chance some time ago. Richard saw Monica happy in a relationship and wanted to interfere. She was just confused because of Chandler's speeches about marriage... not exactly funny 🤣 suddenly her certainties about her relationship had collapsed. But, anyway, all's well that ends well! Can't wait for season 7! My favorite season is 5, no doubt.

Man Chandler proposing always makes me emotional but this is the first time I've watched it since Matthew Perry passed away 😔 Still can't believe he's gone

Michael

The proposal always makes me cry, I love Monica and Chandler so much. My fave is probably s5 but mainly because I love mondler and their sneaking around era was so cute lol

Amanda P

I like different things about all the seasons. Seasons four and five are the strongest without a doubt. I think six is a great runner up. I’m so excited for more episodes and can’t believe you’re already this far. Still many memorable episodes & shenanigans to come!

I always cry at this finale! The proposal was perfect, so sweet. Also, Bruce Willis being so emotional was amazing!

Kim McSharry

This was so worth the wait for this reaction :) The proposal scene always gets me tears :')

Swiftie8992

My favorite season is the season 8 but I can’t tell you why otherwise it’ll spoil you 🙃 But I am so excited that you saw it 🥰

Manon Savary

When Joey came in with his Sailor Clothes, She meant that Tin Tin was looking for him, because he was dressed like Captain Haddock. If you know that old cartoon. :)

Emil

I’ve seen the episodes so many times. I haven’t even watched it yet, and I already know why you were worried for a second. I’m excited! 😅

Devon Bauerkemper

I love Chandler but he almost single-handedly ruined his relationship because he was so focused on having the perfect proposal. I get you want it to be a surprise but he took it too far 😂 The proposal is one of the most romantic scenes ever. Also, the fact that it's the second time Monica tells Richard that getting over him is the hardest thing she has ever had to do kind of shows that a part of her will always love him, but I definitely think she's meant to be with Chandler. The horoscopes that Rachel read in E21 foreshadowed events in these episodes: The "special gift" refers to the engagement ring. "Lovers' Spat" refers to when Monica and Chandler fall out because Chandler pretends he doesn't want to get married to keep his proposal a surprise. "A secret crush announces itself" refers to when Richard says he loves Monica. At the end when they are all hugging to celebrate the engagement Phoebe says it isn't right because Ross isn't there. Rachel then says he's done this three times so he knows what it's about. But he has only proposed twice - to Carol and Emily, not Rachel. David Schwimmer was absent from that scene because he was shooting the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers at the time. "I was making a coconut phone with the professor" is a reference to a character in Gilligan's Island who built nearly everything from coconuts and bamboo. Also, Rachel's "You know who was looking for you? Tennille" is a reference to the singing duo The Captain & Tennille. The writers originally intended for Ross to discover that Elizabeth was pregnant but would only discover after the baby was born that it wasn't his. This idea was scrapped as the writers didn't want to put viewers through an entire pregnancy that would later prove to have nothing to do with the central characters. Ross getting hit in the back by a water balloon in Elizabeth's apartment was unintentional and his reaction was ad-libbed. When hugging Paul, Joey says "Paul, is it?" Chandler said the same exact line in the pilot to Paul the Wine Guy. During the proposal, Chandler and Monica are in the exact same positions they were when Chandler nervously proposed in S5E15. Rachel asks Ross to be her back-up if they're still single when they're 40 - Chandler said the same thing to Monica in S1 when Ben was born.
