Marissa Tomei won the Oscar for best supporting actress with her role in this movie. It was quite disputed at the time because typically Oscars didn't go for comedic performances. But it was well deserved as she totally stole this movie. Classic comedy recomendation: Airplane!

Heβs actually best known for playing brutal gangsters in Martin Scorsese movies - Goodfellas, Casino, The Irishman, Raging Bull. He won an Oscar for Goodfellas. If you know him from those movies first, it makes My Cousin Vinny even funnier. By the way, Marisa Tomei won an Oscar for playing Mona Lisa Vito in this film. Itβs one of only a few times the Oscar was awarded for a comedic performance. She was amazing in this role!
