One thing I don’t like about the flashbacks on Angel is how they are painting Darla as the corrupting influence on Angelus. When we saw the flashbacks on Buffy, it was Angelus on his own who decided to torture and kill both Drusilla and the Romani girl. Now instead, maybe because Angel is our protagonist, in this version, it’s Darla who is behind all of it. She is the one who brought him the Romani girl and she is the one who found Drusilla.

2023-08-07 19:50:43 +0000 UTCThe Host is trying to warn to Angel to stay off this Darla thing, it's not part of his path. The fact that Wolfram & Hart brought her back should be the ultimate sign of that, but you know Angel, doing the right thing is lot harder than doing the wrong thing. His team is right to be worried about him. If only Kate got proper therapy, was able to grieve and possibly leave that job, things would probably be better for her. Also, Darla was dead for a while, so returning she would most likely pick up where she last left off and being around Wolfram and Hart is keeping her from really feeling the soul that she has now
