I love this movie so much! Its fun, but I love the one-on-one conversations he has with all the kids. He connects to them on their level, and he has no judgement. A fantastic role model for those kids. Joan Cusack is also amazing in this, I agree. I've loved her in everything I've seen her in. Her preformance really rounds out the story. Oh, and the girl playing Summer is Miranda Cosgrove, who made it big on Nickolodeon a few years later and had her own pop album. Its funny, because she really can sing in real life.
