Actually, in reality he was welcomed back with applause, the show really overstated the hostility he received.

2023-09-01 05:16:03 +0000 UTCIt had to be hard for Webster, he was one of the original Easy company guys in Normandy and was wounded in Holland... and just because he missed Bastogne and the Ardennes assullt he was treated like a replacement. but at the same time i can understand the guys who suffered trough the horrbible months in Bastonge and Fau to accept him back when others like Joy toy and Garneer and many others had gone AWOL from the sickbay/aid stations to get back to the front to help out easy in the roughest conditions.. so i get the "anger" and "distrust"... but i really felt for Webster. great episode as always
