2024-01-02 20:09:16 +0000 UTCThere is a psychological phenomenon called cognitive dissonance that has been well studied. A person's beliefs can change to conform with that person's behavior. I personally experienced it when I was a teen. My best friend was attracted to a new girl in our neighborhood, and not to be left out I began acting as if I was attracted to her sister, though I wasn't. Soon I fell in love with her, and she became my first girlfriend. Years Later when I took some Psychology courses I learned about this phenomenon, and I realized I had experienced it personally.
