I think we deserved a better Caspian. According to the books, he was younger. And you need more context about Caspian and his teacher, and the lessons he gave to him about the misterious history about the "Old Narnia". I also think that the movie is very unfair to the character of Aslan, because he is totally different in the books. He's that kind of character that you completely fall in love with, that you feel like he could really be out there, guiding you. I loved this character so much that I named my son after him (I decided almost 20 years before my son was born). One of Pedro's phrases that I missed the most, from the book, is that he told Caspian: "I did not come to take your throne away from you, but to put you on it." I think that shows a lot about Peter's character, for which he was known as the "Magnificent". In fact, in the books, it was the people who gave each king and queen those names, not Aslan. They earned their names for their deeds and for the love of their people. (Sorry if I'm boring you with the details, but it's one of my all-time favorite books, so the movie didn't live up to my expectations at all, like "Lord of the Rings" and most of "Harry Potter" did.) Thanks for sharing this movie with Jessie and us. I really like when you both react, since she has that ability to be surprised that many have lost. And you can see the affection between the two and that is very sweet to see. Finally, I think it's good to know that Reepeechep and his companions have the ability to speak thanks to their ancestors, who gnawed the strings from Aslan's body when he died on the stone table.
