Which extended cut was this? The 8 min or 16 minute cut? I love this movie. I remember going to see it 2 or 3 times in the theater and have seen it countless times since then. I have only watched the 16 minute extended cut since though. I understand why these things were cut but at the same time it adds so much to the story. Particularly the opening scenes on Earth. You get an idea of what his life was like and what life on Earth was like so later on when he "changes sides" for lack of a better term and again when he is talking to Eywa telling her to see Grace's memories and that humans have "killed their Mother. Those scenes are much more powerful because we have seen what he was talking about.
