Maybe I'm just a diehard Bangel fan, but I think even thinking strategically we could've gotten a happily ever after... Great episode though, as hard as the ending was

I did in the beginning, of course; they set up the romance beautifully in the initial show, especially after that first big reveal. But once it was known that they could not be together -- for a hell of a good reason -- and after their initial grief of the breakup, I rapidly became annoyed by their mutal simpering and angs over what CAN NEVER BE. It just became drawn out to me, and more pathetic than romantic/tragic. I just want them to move on already, LOL. For me, it's cheapening the sorrow of the breakup and departure of Angel to keep going back to it and drawing it out with melodrama. My opinion is not likely shared by many. :p I'm a bit jaded when it comes to romance, it's true.
