Bram Stoker's Dracula FULL Reaction

Also... highly recommend the Korean movie Thirst!!

2022-10-04 02:32:00 +0000 UTCRapping your knuckles on the table instead of clapping: it's still done in Germany at university after every seminar/lecture and after presentations. Apparently it tends to give some international students a heart attack when they experience it the first time ;) The movie is pretty faithful to the novel, but the romance between Dracula and Mina doesn't happen (in the movie Mina is supposed to be the reincarnation of Elisabeta, who was also played by Winona Ryder. So that is the bond Mina feels with Dracula.)Also, in the book, Dracula does not know how he became a vampire (if I remember correctly), so the whole intro is "made up". Obviously the book isn't as overtly sexual either. Dracula is able to shapeshift at will and turns into a large dog, a wolf, mist/fog, and a bat (the only transformation he doesn’t perform in the movie). He can also grow and become small. Fun fact: according to Coppola, Winona and Keanu are really married, as it was a real priest who performed the ceremony. Ryder and Reeves signed the marriage certificate with their real names, not their character names, so apparently it’s legit! The book is fantastic. I can only recommend it (same goes for Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein). Oh, and – sorry for another recommendation – you should totally watch What We Do In The Shadows, if you haven’t seen it yet!
