They don't really say in the end how the house became such a dangerous animal. My personal theory is that the insanity of the original owners overtook them, and their deaths in the house gave the house a kind of insane life of its own. Between the guy that bricked himself in, and the lovely, unstable Poppy, their energy woke up the house and gave it a crazy, dark hunger.

I was really excited for your reaction to this episode. Ep 6 is my favorite but the jump scare in this one scared the bejesus out of me. A recommendation for the next show that's also mike flannigan but not Bly Manor is the more recent Midnight Mass. I felt it had a lot of interesting topics for discussion. Bly Manor was my least favorite of his work that I've seen. You're not wrong Buffy can fix anything :)
