Haunting of Hill House Ep 6 FULL Reaction

You asked if parents always see their children as kids even when they grow up. I'm not a parent but whenever I see my nephews and nieces, I immediately remember them as the young kids I babysat so long ago. I guess it isn't that you "see" them that way, but rather that you habitually remember them that way. Another excellent reaction. It is getting to the point where I expect nothing less. You never disappoint.

if you pay close attention to what Steve is saying throughout much of this episode, you can tell that although he has seen the ghosts of his mom and Nellie more than once, he thinks that he and his family are just suffering from mental illness. that's why after he saw the ghost of his mom by Nellie's casket he says "get it together!" he thinks he's crazy. that's probably how he's coping with a lot of the trauma he's dealt with by having lived in that house. on another note, this episode always gets me in the feels because all Nellie wanted was for her family to finally get along well enough to mourn her properly and they couldn't even do that. she needed to knock over her own casket to get them to stfu! and that final scene of baby Luke's and baby Nell's voiceovers with ghost Nell standing next to her casket always makes me tear up. this is a freaking top-tier episode! looking forward to the next one!

Omg Thor! You missed Nellie standing in the background when the dad first came to look at her in the casket lmao i was screaming at the screen for you to realize that but you didn't πŸ˜πŸ˜‚ This episode really hit close to home. "I was screaming and shouting but none of you could see me, why couldn't you see me?!" Broke my heart everytime. And that last shot with both young and adult nell and luke just </3 UGH THIS SHOW.

the ending on this episode... damn. "nobody could see me" It's all Nell really wanted: to be seen and heard.

Lucas

well if you remember in the episode about luke the mom says she sees a family doing these activities in the room and she mentions books near the floor for the boy in the wheelchair and the father says that got really specific. i do think this episode had some of the best transitions as well in my religion we don't even do open caskets so it's even weirder when you're going for someone elses family, i just don't like looking. it's a tough call with nellie, she may have gotten pushed by a ghost but she did allow herself to get drawn in, she had to know none of that was real.
