Buffy the Vampire Slayer Ep 9 FULL Reaction

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Ep 9 FULL Reaction

Comments

Not the best episode, the humour falls a bit flat ("nubile"???), but totally worth it alone for Giles's soul leaving his body at having to manage the "talentless" and your face when Cordelia shows up!! xD

Giles face & reactions this whole episode 😂😂😂

Jamie

I was confused the first time too. Also, I wish the horny dummy shtick had been actually axed. It is interesting for its suspense the first time though and there is some humor.

I never rewatch this in full with any Buffy reactor so it's literally been years...but that's the cool part cause I didn't remember the twist. However, it's the least enjoyable ep for me but as always it's still fun watching you react. Also considering what a baby I am with "horror" I didn't find this one creepy at all....I actually burst out laughing when the puppet entered Buffy's room...it just felt a bit silly 😂 FYI - I think it's been explained but the Dummy was never possessed, that was a "red herring." Don't worry, I was confused as well. Anyway great reaction. Seeing you genuinely enjoy this show really gives me warm fuzzy vibes. It reminds me how excited I was watching this show every week. When you get to my fav eps I know it's gonna feel like Christmas! :)

I haven't seen the Chucky movies either but Sid always reminded me of Slappy from Goosebumps too. This ep isn't a fan favorite but I like it. There's a lot to enjoy: Giles the reluctant stage manager, intro to Snyder and his disdain for students, a dummy demon hunter and a truly moving performance of Oedipus Rex.

I like this one, but mostly because of the first and last scenes. The twist of the dummy actually being a good guy is fun, too, but once you know it I feel like the episode kind of drags a bit, since so much of the episode is constructed around it.

Ah, Snyder... "That's the kind of woolly headed liberal thinking that leads to being eaten." I'm not wild about this episode, but what an intro.

Love your Buffy reactions! Not one of my favorite episodes, but it is enjoyable.

Always love a new Buffy reaction to watch from you! As for the Dummy, there was never a demon in the Dummy. Sid was a demon hunter and in a fight with one of the 7 demons that need a brain and a heart to stay in human form, the demon put a curse on Sid and he got trapped in the Dummy. Sid had to then track down all 7 of those demons in order to lift the curse.

The Scoobies doing Oedipus is amazing. I think we can all agree Xander was best, right?

Principal Snyder is legendary. That's all I'll say. Child's Play is almost a decade before this. And it sounds like you got the gist of it. There was 7 demons who each needed a brain and a heart to keep human form. There was a demon hunter who they cursed into the body of a doll, and he needed to kill all 7 demons to lift the curse. Sid picked Morgan because he was smart and thought he could help him find the final demon, who they thought was Buffy because she broke into Morgan's locker.

Tim Pierce

This is one of my favorite season 1 episodes.
